Mobile Admin for Minecraft
Mobile Admin for Minecraft is an Android server administration tool and server side plugin that provides users the ability to manage and maintain their Minecraft server from their mobile phone. Mobile Admin for Minecraft allows users to change server settings, perform common player administration tasks (such as banning users, setting op status, giving items, kicking users and messaging them), plugin management and real-time chat.
@mkaltner
That is what I figured you would say... and to log into the app we use are MC UN and Pass right?
@JackBmann
Sure doesn't. Hamachi is a VPN (Virtual Private Network), emphasis on the P... Unless you connect your phone to your VPN, much like your users have to do, there's no way Mobile Admin can connect to your server.
I have the same problem as Etsija, and I am running on 3.2.4, then when I try to connect to the on the app it gives me the error: "Unable to connect to plugin" I would assume these two are connected. Also to clarify, this does work with Himachi right?
@soliddanii
You can set the full url to your dynamp in the MobileAdmin.properties file. Make sure to include the http, etc...
And have you looked into the Minecraft RCon interface?
Hello, first of all I love MinecraftMobilAdmin (I've the pay version). But i've a proble. I've my server rented in daddycheese, and when i try to see the map (i've dynmap instaled) I see other server map (that also has the dynmap instaled) How can I solve it? And the most important question. I'm trying to maka an application that can run commands in the server. your application does that, but i want to do it from a pc applicatin. Any tutorials out there, I know how to use comands in the server, but from an external source? can you help me please? Thanks
@mkaltner
Actually, instead of waiting for approval, here's the link: http://www.kaltner.net/MinecraftMobileAdmin/Files/MobileAdmin_Plugin_3.2.4_Snapshot.zip
@Etsija
Just uploaded it now. Will show up in the file list once approved.
Hi, love this app and am using it on my Android. Great app. Can you tell me when you're going to update for 1.1-R4 to prepare for 1.2? Currently, 3.2.3 server gives this on startup with 1.1-R4 (#1938):
22:34:40 [SEVERE] Error occurred while enabling MobileAdmin v3.2.3 (Is it up to date?): org.bukkit.plugin.RegisteredListener.<init>(Lorg/bukkit/event/ Listener;Lorg/bukkit/plugin/EventExecutor;Lorg/bukkit/event/EventPriority;Lorg/bukkit/plugin/Plugin;)V java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.bukkit.plugin.RegisteredListener.<init>(Lorg/bukkit/event/Listener;Lorg/bukkit/plugin/EventExecutor;Lorg/bukkit/event /EventPriority;Lorg/bukkit/plugin/Plugin;)V at im.creep.bukkitinsider.smartassery.SmartassPluginManager.registerEvent(SmartassPluginManager.java:88) at net.kaltner.MobileAdmin.MobileAdmin.onEnable(MobileAdmin.java:115) at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPlugin.setEnabled(JavaPlugin.java:230) at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader.enablePlugin(JavaPluginLoader.java:1057) at im.creep.bukkitinsider.smartassery.ModifiableSimplePluginManager.enablePlugin(ModifiableSimplePluginManager.java:457) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.loadPlugin(CraftServer.java:199) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.enablePlugins(CraftServer.java:182) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.t(MinecraftServer.java:357) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.a(MinecraftServer.java:344) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.init(MinecraftServer.java:175) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:408) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:465)
@Kinkajou1015
I found part of the problem. I set up web forwarding for my .co.uk hostname to point to a free dyndns.org hostname, because my IP address changes so frequently it couldn't keep up. The mobile app doesn't follow this redirect, but pointing it there directly works fine. And I also rechecked the port forwarding like you suggested, and rewrote it. And now it works! Not a clue what I did wrong the first time though. Thank you very much
@BurnseyBoi
From your description it sounds like you didn't get the port properly forwarded in your router. Double check those settings.
I am having a problem getting this to connect from my phone. I have opened and forwarded port 25567 to my machine using exactly the same method I used to open the port for the actual MC server. When I connect to the server from inside my network using 192.168.0.100 it connects fine and I can issue commands etc. But when I switch to mobile data and use my external IP address (or my hostname) it will not connect. What could I have done wrong?
Thanks for any help
I use hero chat and the app seems to miss all forms of chat besides global chat. Is there anyway it can pick up all channels and whispers. I can see it happening in the console window but not in the chat window
I know an way how to detect the the use of server.broadcastMessage()
Thanks guys! I intend to look into that in v4. Plugins like mine, dynmap, and others use broadcast messages for chat. My plugin listens for player chat and therefore misses out on the broadcast messages. I'll see if I can listen for them in v4 however.
This too is the only android app i have ever paid $ for as well. But like i said, its pretty much the only thing I use my phone for these days.
Im not sure if this could be looked into, but other plugins like Dynmap & BukkitIRCD do not show chat with the Mobile Admin chat & vice versa.
Love this app its actually the only android app I've ever paid for. Anyway I would really love some notifications capability with this app like a popup and sound when someone logs into the server. Also a word filter list for chat that watches what is being said and allows you to setup some words that will cause a sound and popup letting you know what has been said. Like if someone was to say "help" or your name/login name. of course setting it up to use wildcards like * would be nice but an exact spelling would help too as I go by Wil with one L and don't want it to bug me when someone writes will with 2 L's. Keep up the good work!
Hey man, LOVE the android app so far... been making management of my server a breeze while at work/school =). One suggestion i want to make is... it would be awesome if we could see dynmap "web chat" in the chat tab of the mobile admin app. Atm it doesn't show up at all and it looks like people are talking to themselves! lol

Thanks Love the program, bought it the first day I tried it,
I get a huge error when running this plugin
An update for anyone curious/hasn't looked at the original plugin thread.
Work on v4 is being done, but it's currently mostly research, the initial authentication plan got thrown out when it was deemed insecure and not suitable. UI changes are being made, the app should look more like it's part of the default Android app suite. A planned feature will be to have the ability to edit configuration files for various plugins, how that will turn out, uncertain, it needs more fleshing out and may not become a reality.
