midibanks-revival
This plugin is a revival of the plugin at this thread.Originally created by Protected.
I thank him for originally creating it but am angered by his complete removal of the plugin without leaving any notification for its fans.
The original plugin allowed you to play midis in Minecraft without a client mod using noteblocks and correctly formatted signs.
The format of the signs is like this.
- first line: blank
- second line: [midi]
- third line: filename, must be short enough to fit on the line without the .mid extension.
- fourth line:Special perimeters, Such as start on chunk load and looping "A,L, and a few more I need to search for in the code."
examples:
Micheal Jackson's beat it.mid
- blank
- [midi]
- mjbi
song of storms.mid
- blank
- [midi]
- sos

this contains both the regular version and the bukkitforge version.
if you are having trouble with getting the midis to play open them with an external program such as Anvil Studio
the midis go in the same folder as the config file.
Nope, no errors... But it's strange, these midi files used to work just fine long ago...
@Humpie96
can you see any java errors in the console? if not then it may be the midi I would suggest using Anvil Studio 2012s repair function on the midi and try it again.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't get this plugin working... The sign shows Playing but it just doesn't...
@zarakh01
I don't see how someone could make a video tutorial for this plugin because there are so many midis and the plugin is mostly drop in and load.
@psirusa
i would suggest Anvil Studio its got this repair feature that fixes most of the problems with midis.
Is there an outside tool you could suggest for analyzing midi files for track information?
@jfmherokiller
Is there a way to make it loop with something that IS compatible using X as well?
If not, is there a fix? if not, its fine.
@TheFlannelBeard
its not a bug its because the looping option is not compatable with it.
if your getting a chunkload error change disallow-autostart: false to true in the config file.
Currently I've been getting this error, I've tried several MIDI files even ones that have worked in the past but it just doesnt play for me or others on my server. However, when I set it up with even default settings, right clicking the sign will display "PLAYING" "PAUSED" and "STOPPED" so I know its working at least somewhat. Also all commands work. I have the permissions needed to use it. Here is the error and the craftbukkit version:

I got MidiBanks to work, but I cant combine effect.
[midi] file X,L,A
It wont repeat, nor play the way "x" makes it, and wont play on chunk load.
However, when i do
[midi] file x,l
itll play the way "x" makes it play, but wont loop.... and yes, i know, case sensitive, but if i do
[midi] file X,L
It wont play at ALL! bug?
Its working again, thanks :)
Dont use it in a public server because all people cant use it, perms and op are not working atm for this plugin.
A video tutorial would be lovely for this plugin.
the release version of 2.0 is now uploaded all it needs is to be approved.
@Switch0r
dont worry i just got the major problem out of the way.
@Tageszeitung
Our server is using java 7 and the plugin wont work.
I used this plugin before so i know how it works.
Hopefully he can fix it for us soon.
We wanna play some christmas songs on our server this year :p
@Switch0r
Hi! I'm using the OpenJDK 6 JRE.
@Tageszeitung
Same problem here.
what java version do you use?
Hi everyone,
is it just me or does the plugin (got the Beta 2.0) currently not work on Bukkit (MC 1.4.6). I've configured all permissions so far (to "true" of course) and nothing works for me :(
I think, that I've set up all blocks in the right order, so: SIGN|Dirt|Noteblock|Noteblock|Noteblock (et cetera)
The Sign looks as this: First line: blank Second line: [MIDI] Third Line: air (the midi's name is actually air.mid, i've tried the same with other midis, none of them worked) Fourth line: Again blank
When I type in "/midibanks list", all midi files show up, so i guess i placed them in the right directory.
I'd be very happy if someone could help me :)
@Switch0r
open the config.yml and change this line to true disallow-autostart: false
