That is really strange :/ can you consider running a spigot server just to see if thats the reason? You could try a local server version and see if it works there
I have no idea where to get the dev builds for worldedit & Worldguard from though....
EDIT: After looking around for a bit I managed to find the worldedit dev build, replacing the current worldedit jar in my plugins folder however still has no effect
EDIT2: Found and installed the dev build for Worldguard aswell now, however the error still occurs
Im not even sure of WorldGuard works without WorldEdit, try installing WorldEdit too
EDIT: Oh i just saw your EDIT: Hmm try downloading latest WE and WG stable build and retry please.
I just don't like the errors spamming my console :P
Removing the data.yml file fixed my startup error :D
as for pressure plates. they work fine as well. It happens on both meta pressure plates and none meta ones. Meta ones also don't get pressed. So it all seems to work as it's supposed to. No idea why it's spamming an error.
Try removing the data.yml it should get rid of the startup error log.
Is the plugin still working tho?
And also do the pressure plates still get pressed when they have meta data assigned to them?
I personally don't get an error message when someone steps on a pressure plate, i'll have to inspect that further
EDIT: What version of WorldGuard are you using? Try the latest stable version maybe? We are using WG 5.9
Hey, first of all, thank you for this amazing extension for texture usage! :3 I'm making a RPG so it helps me a lot now I can use Meta Data and extend the amount of textures. Therefore we have a team of builders, but there is a problem.. I'm the OP and I do can use the plugin, but my dear builders can't, because they're no OP. I also don't want to give them OP permissions since the server isn't only building. I was wondering, is there a way to bypass the kind of restriction that does not allow no OP's to use the plugin?
I've given my builders the permissions node: metacycler.*: true, so they have permissions to the full plugin, also they cannot break blocks with the empty bottle, but they can't change the texture, nor do they see the MetaData ID stuff thing you see when you aim at a block.
I would be very happy if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong, if there is no other way than give them OP permissions, I'll have to accept that, but it would be nice if that's not needed!

@ravand
Definitely using craftbukkit

@Rawe1994
There was a nother person who had the exact same issue, i sent him my WG and WE versions and it immediatly worked for him :/
Are you using spigot or bukkit?
Maybe try the latest Dev builds of WE and WG?
@ravand
Re-downloading the recommended builds (from their respective bukkit pages and JAR-only) has no effect, the error persists
To go a little more into detail with my setup:
I am still running the 1.7.9 R0.1 craftbukkit build (in offline-mode if that matters)
and have the following plugins:
- bPermissions - CommandBook - MetaCycler - Worldguard - Worldedit
I hope these added details help with figuring out what exactly is wrong :S

I would really like to use this plugin but whenever I try to use it it gives me this error message in the console

I have Worldpainter and Worldguard (both up-to-date) so I have no clue what is wrong
EDIT: I mean WorldEDIT

Your welcome :)
@Ravand
You're amazing <3.
That completely fixed the problem I was having :)
Thank you!
@wonderdude73
Ok i found out what was causing the error messages:)
Try this build and it should work: http://wiki.bukkit.org/BukkitDev:Project_Submission_Guidelines
@Ravand
Before I updated to MetaCycler 1.8 I was running v 5.9 for 1.7.4 (recomended build) latest one on their bukkit page.
But as that was causing the error as well I tried updating to a dev build. So currently it's
v. 5.9.1-SNAPSHOT:1310-b0ed119,master
@wonderdude73
Whats your WG version?
@Ravand
Plugin works perfectly fine :)

Just downloaded 1.8
Getting this error on startup:
http://pastebin.com/Bsha8YGe
I'm also still getting the weird error with pressure plates, every time someone steps on one:
http://pastebin.com/h0cQ47i2
I have updated both Worldguard and Worldedit. So I don't know what's causing that either yet. :(

Erma gurd it works :3

@Hakhaktak
Your permissions plugin probably doesn't allow wildcards give them the permission "metacycler.use" and it should work
