MCdigr
MCdigr will be permanently shutting down its services on May 3 due to unforeseen circumstances. We greatly appreciate all of our users, and wish we could continue providing Minecraft stats for all. Keep on digging!
We dig your craft!
Notice
Since the plugin is still in it's beta phase, you MUST stay current to use our service!
About MCdigr.com
MCdigr.com tracks and stores a growing set of Minecraft statistics across servers. Server owners install our plugin, and any players that play on these servers will have their stats tracked. Server stats are tracked too!
By logging in to MCdigr.com, server owners can monitor and see their system's operation in many viewports that are synchronized and dynamically updating.
Our backend system is designed to scale with the incoming data. Our interface is sleek, simple, and well tested.
About MCdigr Plugin
The plugin collects statistics and sends the results every 1, 5 or 15 minutes to MCdigr.com. As a fail-safe for network congestion, the plugin implements a fault tolerance policy - it retains a server's stats locally for up to 24 hours.
Engineering the MCdigr plugin so that it does the heavy lifting without interfering with gameplay was a real challenge. Before our public release, we had relentlessly tested the plugin on a server that constantly had 150+ active players at any given time.
Configuration
Statistics collection can be controlled from config.yml. The default set is good enough for most people! You must download it after you add a server to mcdigr.com, and then add it the MCdigr directory in bukkit's plugin directory.
Each server has a unique code that is automatically inserted into your config.yml file when you download it. The plugin disables itself if the code is not there. To disable a statistic from being collected, simply remove it from the enabled list in config.yml.
Port 37996
Please have port 37996 open or the plugin will not be able to communicate with the MCdigr servers. While most Minecraft hosts allow all outbound connections, a few large hosts do block outbound ports by default. Contacting your host should quickly resolve this.
Tracked Statistics
- Active players Tracks the players seen in the last interval
- Block breaks Tracks who broke what (the type of the block destroyed)
- Block placement Tracks who placed what (the type of the block placed)
- Chat Tracks the number of chats, player and systemwise. This DOES NOT track WHAT is said!
- Death Tracks who/what dies
- Economy balances Tracks player balances, if you have Vault installed.
- Entities Tracks the total number of entities in all worlds.
- Entity explosions Tracks creeper, TNT, fireball and wither skull explosions!
- Kick Tracks who was kicked and when
- Login Tracks all login attempts (successful and not)
- Player experience level Reports a player's last known experience level
- Player time Tracks how much time a player spends on your server
- ServerInfo Records some environment info at start
- Tick rate Reports the average tick rate from the last interval
We value your suggestions and feedback!
updating soon for CB 1.3.2 ?
With delay and much hard work, the newly redesigned mcdigr.com has gone live!
@dickwick
Could you provide more info? Does this happen consistently? Please PM your config.yml contents to me and the size of your backups file so that I can get get a clearer picture of what's happening.
I'm getting after a while kinda latency issues with MCDigr plugin :/
@LordKainzo
Worry not, the MCdigr plugin has been tested on servers with 150+ concurrent players. It's a fairly lightweight plugin, and most of the statistics can be disabled in the config.yml file. We'd love to see it on Herocraft!
@mcdigr
I'm tempted on having Herocraft on here... not sure though. I'm worried about added cpu usage...
@GlabbichRulz
As our way of saying "Thank You", we have given MCdigr Premium service to all of our early testers for free for 6 months. So, GlabbichRulz - thank you for your trust and interest! Enjoy!
As long as your server sends us data, on the day after your server will be among the featured server rotation at the top of mcdigr.com/rankings.
We are fervently preparing for a relaunch of mcdigr.com on September 7. Lots of cool stuff to come! Please check back. We are open to suggestions of how your servers can be featured on our site after that.
Hi, what does
"You are currently signed up for the MCdigr Premium service!"
means?
And how can your server be fetured on the stats page?
@MattPlays
Thanks for letting us know about that. It was a bug, and should be fixed now.
We came out of invite-only mode almost two weeks ago, so you won't need one.
However, if you'd really like a formal invitation still, "Dear MattPlays, you have been cordially invited to partake in the stats festival known as MCdigr." :)
Quick question, when I try to create an account, it is saying I need an invite. How do I go about getting one?
Looks great and would like to try it out :)
@drumming102
Thank you much for notifying us of the problem. It has been fixed.
@WayGroovy
Thank you much for notifying us of the problem. It happened on Friday after all of us had left work. You very promptly noticed and reported it. We fixed the problem by early Saturday morning, but forgot to post back to the forum.
For the time being, we use this bukkit page as well as our facebook page for discussions. In about a week, we will announce some major improvements of our service. :-) After that, we plan to make more use of our public-facing ticketing system.
looks like it is back up to me, now. Do you guys have a forum or somewhere else to talk about the service?
I too have been having problems since about 7 hours ago.
I can;t seem to get this working. Put in the newest plugin. Made the folder and put the config in and it's still not registering data.
This plugin is coming along nicely, look at our new stats page from it!

@darkcloud784
I don't know how you are getting this. MCdigr prints nothing directly to the console, only to the logger (which writes to a file and your screen). All MCdigr log output is of the form:
Date Time [Level] [MCdigr] msg
Please take a screenshot so that I can see what these "bunch of weird symbols" are.
@mcdigr
Heres whats being printed STRAIGHT FROM THE CONSOLE. Its not being logged in the server.log though
28.07 20:04:00 [Server] INFO
@darkcloud784
Without seeing what is printed, there's little I can do.
@mcdigr
Sorry I've been unable to get on bukkit much, to update you. The spam ONLY happens in console, its not logged in the server.log files.
I cant copy it as it shows up as a bunch of weird symbols and for some reason it wont let me post it here. I'll attempt to copy it to pastebin at some point but it happens every time mcdigr sends stuff.
