Frequently Asked Questions

Can I also separate inventories by world?

Just use Multiverse-Inventories. The inventory-feature of LC is disabled automatically if MV-Invs is present.

Can LC prevent that blockes placed by creative players dropping s.t. when destroyed in survival?

The BlockState-Feature isn't enabled by default. Just enable it.

Switchting Inventories / Creative Regions doesn't work, did you even test the plugin once?

Just have a look at the download-counter. Are there dozens or hundreds of downloads? But the comments doesn't sounds like multiple users have the same issue? So it might affect only you, because of your special server configuration. If you like to get support, do not leave a comment like "doesn't work for me". Make a detailed ticket that describes the problem and your server-setup. Use debug for additional information. Or you just could use one of the direct contact methods like Skype, Jabber, IRC, E-Mail.

Why can be some signs still used, even if the "can not use"-message appears?

Sadly some plugins completely ignore the cancellation of interaction events. LC isn't able to change the behavior of plugins that decided to ignore this cancellation. Fortunately there is now a workaround using the new GameMode-Permission-Feature. Just create a creative-permission-group that negates all the permissions player in creative shouldn't use, like economics.

I've set a creative region, but I can break blocks from outside of the region to drop item. Did I s.t. wrong?

Yes, you may set the game-mode-flag from WorldGuard (using /region), not the LC-variant of the flag via //region or /lcr. Don't miss removing the WorldGuard-flag.

My inventory doesn't change on changing gamemode. What's the cause?

If there is no error in server.log, that can has different reasons:

  • You may have Multiverse-Inventories installed. LC's Inventory-Feature isn't compatible with this Plugin. Multiverse-Inventories is more powerful and has its own gamemode-separation. You just have to configure Multiverse-Inventories correct. (There is a use_game_mode_profiles-Setting in Multiverse-Inventories).
  • Or you may have the limitedcreative.keepinventory-Permission. If you have this permission without knowledge you may are using PermissionsEx with the "*"-Permission. A quick solution would be to negative the keepinventory-Permission.

I've granted limitedcreative.switch_gamemode-Permission, but player still can't use /lc c or such?

You also need to grant limitedcreative.command, as this required to access the accumulative /lc-command (or /limitedcreative). Also this enables players to see the command in /help.
If you grant a normal player the limitedcreative.command-permission without any other, he is able to call /lc, but it only shows the help, and doesn't grant access to any subcommands. So you safely can grant it to all players if you like to.
This also applies to the region-optional setting: limitedcreative.command is needed to use /lc s in an optional region.
