Kit Selection Signs

Kit Selection Signs

How to use them

Kit selection signs are just another way for your players to take kits. When a player punches (left-clicks) a kit selection sign, they will be given the kit to which it is bound. For information about how to restrict players from using kit selection signs, see the Permissions page.

How to create them

To create a kit selection sign, simply place down any ordinary sign, and enter the following information:

kit
[kit name]
[empty]
[empty]

[kit name] is the name of the kit which this sign should be bound to.

The sign will automatically reformat itself to be visually appealing when you finish editing the text.

Advanced

An interesting thing to note is that kit selection signs are not bound by their text, but by a reference to their block. This means that the text of the sign can technically be anything. It is completely safe to use a sign text-editing plugin to change the text of the sign after it has been linked. It is also completely safe to use a plugin like WorldEdit or VoxelSniper to change the block type - players will still receive the kit when they punch the block.
