iZone Basic
Zone Protection Made Easy!
What is it?
iZone Basic helps you setup zones for things like your Spawn, PvP areas, Shops, etc.
- Select corners of the zone with a wooden shovel then do /zmod create MyZone
- Inspect your zones with wooden sword to get details. Modify settings with /zmod flag
- For a list of options just type in game, /zmod
What makes this plugin different?
It's very easy to use and has NO other plugin dependencies!
Other Information
Thanks to Robin van Nunen for the original iZone plugin by TechGuard and permission to revise and publish to Bukkit!
v1.0.2 Update
- Added 'Fly' flag to toggle flying in zones
- Added ZOrder setting to control overlapping zones (highest value takes precedence)
Hi JkcCruse,
iZone do not work with Bukkit 1.7.5. You can create zones attach flags to the zones but there isn't any reaction also no error output in console. It would be nice if you could have a look at it.

Great ! i love it ! more flag possible? and explain all flag, in text and in other video?
Can you add it so that we can restrict players from a zone so that only players/groups who have permission can enter it. Also make it so that players have have access in there cannot tp other players in there unless they have access. If you add this feature, it will surely be greater than world guard.
Some of the flags seem to be broken. I have the latest version of iZone installed and craftbukkit 1.7.2-R0.2 installed. There are no other plugins installed. So far I have found that No Explosions, Welcome, Farewell, Gamemode, and possibly others as well are not working.
Anybody else having the same issue?
How do you allow the people to buy from the shops?
Thank you JkcCruse! Its a pleasure to see that someone is taking care of this good old plugin. It will be awesome if you post the permission nodes on this site.
@JkcCurse
You sir, are my new hero!
Thanks so much!
I wanna in this plugin, player can make cuboid as in original iZone. iZone Basic is better because you do not need expand, at once protect.
@BezkonfliktowyPsychopata
I'd like to help address, however it could be your ultimate goal is different from the intention of this plugin. I'm not intending this to be something regular players use to protect their own areas. For that you might look into a plot plugin of some kind. This plugin is more for admins to control areas like server spawn, shops, arenas, parkours, etc.
For players, you'll probably want something that allows different number of protected plots per player rank, allow buy/sell/trade of plots, etc. There are some plugins out there for that you might investigate. On my radar I'm considering authoring one as well.
Let me know if I've misunderstood your goals though and what you're asking is more straight forward. I thought you just meant at first you wanted your 'moderator' style players to create zones but not actually be op.
But, if i give permission "izone.admin" for player, then he can use shovel and make a cuboid. But no have restrictions izone.zone.max-zone.1 and izone.zone.max-size.1
@Junrall
FYI: You'll be happy to hear I added overlapping zone control in the next release (v1.0.2, uploaded to Bukkit, pending approval so should be available soon). Basically you can set a 'ZOrder' value for each zone. If there is an overlap the zone with highest ZOrder wins. So you could have a large outer zone with global settings then override those in an inner zone by setting its ZOrder higher.
Example command: /zmod zorder InnerZoneName 10
Also added support for 'Fly' flag in case you want to disable flying in a zone (like for PvPs, Parkours, Minigames, etc).
@BezkonfliktowyPsychopata
Hi, a solution is to grant "izone.admin". The only thing this really gives is the ability to use the shovel (which they then need those other permissions you specified). I'll consider this a bug for future versions though so this permission is not needed in addition to those. Hope this helps!
I need help, i have problem with permissions for use wooden shovel. I use permission: izone.tool.define and izone.tool.check, it does not work. I can use shovel, only if a have op, but i want to player could do cuboid.
@TyRooPitt
That would be handled in a separate plugin and not iZone. You might check out 'PlotMe' or 'Towny'. I'm not familiar with them though. There was a plugin called 'PlotGuardian' but hasn't been updated in some time. I'll probably publish a plot plugin but it wouldn't be for a few weeks from now.
@JkcCurse
Whaoo it worked! now once i get my town made i can protect it from Creeps and PVP :D and heal everyone! anyone chance for say alloying to make plots then have them for sale in a town?
@TyRooPitt
Challenge Accepted. :)
I installed PermissionsEx and quickly found the answer for you. It is
/pex user YourName add izone.*
Note: It looks like a great way to use PermissionsEx when you're having problems is to run /pex user YourName toggle debug
Then you can see in console what permission you are lacking. You can walk through specific iZone permissions using that, but it looks like giving izone.* will be good for administrator.
@JkcCurse
I have been trying to get them to work but still does not allow me with PermissionEX. could you possibly add support for that? <3 dont want to use worldedit and worldguard ahha
@JkcCurse
It's been awhile since I last tried it... but what I remember is that when I set a zone within a zone, the first zone always overrides the second zone. So, I would protect my entire area and set flags so that no monsters would spawn... but, if I had a mob trap within this protected area, I would then create a sub zone around this trap and enable monster spawns. Unfortunately this did not work for me.
One way around this problem is to create a zone around the mob trap first then create a zone around my entire area. It would be beneficial to be able to place overlapping zones in any order
I have read that the issue lies in with how iZone works with creation dates.
Haha, I nearly panicked when I saw that iZone Basic was for 1.7.2... I am running 1.6.4 for some Forge/bukkit mods. iZone Basic seems to be working fine. :D
@TyRooPitt
Usually if you're op all permission checks return TRUE. I don't use PermissionEx, but perhaps you can grant one of the following permissions through it:
