ItemStay
Summary
ItemStay allows you to drop an item and make it so that the item that you dropped cannot be picked up by anyone and will not despawn! Items dropped by users will NOT be stacked with the ItemStay items like they do using similar plugins.

PLEASE UPDATE Alot of the other ones are useless or out of date and i cant finish my walmart shop until i get a working version.
@nighteyes604
So there will be update or no? I don't wanna be mean, but will you update this even in a year? I need it fast... I was using it for shop "display" and now there is nothing in shop since 1.3.1 relese!
I'll try to update this week but it's difficult without a desktop. To install just put in your plugins folder like any other plugin.
How to install?
Any info when this will be updated?
@nejcneo
i have the same problem from the moment a player logs out and back in they can pick up the items
this is a Huge bug! plz fix it :) thnx
edit: i did some more testing and it seems to work fine if you log back in while there are other players nearby (the displays) but when the chunk (i guess) is empty (no players) then you can pick them up However still needs an urgent fix!
There is huge BUG in 1.3.1 I am using Itemstay as Display in SHOP (So players can see what to buy) and sometimes protection doesn't work and players can just pick up those items! You really need to fix this fast.
@th3oneironaut
My bad. I didn't realize I had mob disguise enabled. Of course I couldn't pick up items as an Ocelot... hahaha! Disregard my previous post.
Eversince I updated craftbukkit to 1.3.1, this plugin will not allow me to delete any items. I would get the message that the item is no longer protected but when I walk over it, I can't pick it up.
Anyone else having this issue?
@nighteyes604
Have you had a chance to work on this?
Can you make it so CLAGG doesn't delete the items?
@nighteyes604
Played around this and the "ItemDisplay" plugin. Both having the exact same issues with item duping. If you go away from the display for awhile, or if the server shuts down and restarts (properly) the items get picked up again. Once you /reload the items come back. I'm guessing there is multiverse issues or something.
Edit: That update did fix the /itemstay list command though.
@Desto154
Try it again, last try otherwise I'll need to actually test it and can't do that until the 5th. Same link as last time
@nighteyes604
Thanks for taking the time to update it, but still getting the error :/
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot measure distance between world and steamland
Edit: Also it seems that items displayed on top of chests vanished for good. Everything else stayed perfectly through the night.
@Desto154
That could possibly be it, I'll try to add a line or two to fix it and post the plugin in this comment for you.
Edit: Updated here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10933866/Minecraft/ItemStay.jar
@Desto154
Lol, okay now I'm getting some serious errors. People get a "An internal error occurred while attempting to preform this command" when using /itemstay list The console displays "Cannot measure distance between "world" and "world". I'm using multiverse, could it be an issue? People are still able to delete their displays by going through 0-4 item IDs.
@nighteyes604
Alright I tested everything again. I believe it's working, I probably just had a user not knowing what they were doing. Thanks again so far so good with the plugin.
@nighteyes604
By giving my members the itemstay.create node they were able to create displays but not remove them. Is there seperate node for deleting your own display besides itemstay.delete ? (This node let them delete everybodys)
I'm using PermissionsEx
@Desto154
Glad everything is working for you! The itemstay delete command is automatically available for players to delete their own displays.
If you give a player the itemstay.admin or itemstay.delete permission they will be able to remove anyone's.
So just remove those permissions from your non-admin players and everything should work, let me know if you have any problems.
