ItemStay
Summary
ItemStay allows you to drop an item and make it so that the item that you dropped cannot be picked up by anyone and will not despawn! Items dropped by users will NOT be stacked with the ItemStay items like they do using similar plugins.

And also i would call it deaditem cuz im making a dead island server and that wud be a good plugin for the server
I like it but i want a plugin where u can set a block to have an item and u can pick it up and also like every 5-10 mins it respawns
@MidasValo
Yes, item can be picked up when chunk is unloaded, and then loaded again.
My displays were on upside down stairs. So I also tested it on plain wooden planks. -It didn't matter.
I also got skeptical and redownloaded the bukkit jar. I was renaming the bukkitxxxxxxxxx.jar to just bukkit.jar It didn't matter though.
@MidasValo
I'll look into the chunk loading issue tomorrow, and hopefully have an update.

I just spent a couple hours troubleshooting this.
Here is the scenario. I stand next to my displays. I cannot pick anything up. Then, I fly far away (op gm 1) so that the chunks where the displays were are unloaded. After a short while, I go back to the displays and all of the items are now claimable. I pick them all up and walk away a thief.
Here's the troubleshooting I did to try to remedy the issue (each time rebooting server and minecraft client):
-removed possible trouble plugins
-eventually removed all plugins and deleted itemstay.jar and itemstay folder
-redownloaded itemstay with new folder
-uninstalled java 7 update 6 (x64) and installed newest java 7 update 7
-also installed java 7-7 32bit
What's left to do? Bug?
Does this work in worlds besides the main world now? It sucks not being able to place them in my tutorial world.
Well, unfortunately, it happened again where I walk up to the stand and I pick up the drops.
I think I'm going to have to pull all my plugins and re-add them one at a time to look for conflicts.
Thanks nightesyes604. I tested it and just deleted my csv file. Everything seems to work so far after I recreated all of my displays.
As far as I could see, I visually only had 1 display per block. But its hard to tell I guess unless you check the csv.
So is that the rule? 1 display per block or you get this error?
Btw, thanks for checking into it. :) Great plugin!

I think both of you have multiple displays being created on one block - I would delete the items.csv file and remake your itemstay displays. Or you can just shut off your server and delete the duplicate entries from the .csv file.
I just logged on next to the shops and it gave me drops. Like they weren't bound to their plots. Then I typed /reload and it replaced them but I still had the free items in my inventory. :(
@nighteyes604
I tested it on mine too. I watched your vid. But all I do is say /reload while in game. It seems that it "pops" and drops items after a plugin reload. But mine only have about 8 drops each and I can't pick them up. Then after a moment, they disappear and the blocks reset to their original display spots. Hope this helps too.
@nejcneo
Thank you, I'm looking into it and I should have a version ready for you to try out tomorrow. If you want to test what I have now - here's a version I made tonight : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10933866/Minecraft/ItemStay.jar just set the "sensitive-pickup" in the config to true.
@nighteyes604 Okey... I made you video: Video
@nejcneo
Could you tell me what plugins you have on the server? Using just the itemstay plugin I left it on over night and it worked, also tried logging in/out to pick up items and couldn't. I'll post a debug version sometime tonight so we can try that and figure out what's wrong.
Hi well about v1.3 update... Nothing improved... Error: If you log out & log in you can still pick up items andway... from time to time items just disappear :/
Still need to fix this
This is cool. Trying it out
@theodossis
I'm making a ticket based off this comment. Please add information (such as all plugins on your server) there so I can help.
@Rog360
No problem - sorry for the delay!
