IP Security
IP Security is a very simple, self-explanatory plugin that can save your server from being exploited if your trusted player's accounts become compromised.
If you are interested in trying the dev features (use hostname for ip) please use the dev builds.
In a nutshell, IP Security will allow you to specify a full IP or IP range that a specified user can log in from. If they log in from another IP, their account will be kicked from the server, and can be banned until you have time to investigate the issue, if you so choose.
IP Security will also de-op all players when they log out, if they have op. You can mark a player as an op in the config, and when they log in under the right IP, they will be given op back, which makes sure that cheaters will have no chance to exploit and use op.
Configuration
#If a player is not listed here, they will be able to log in with no check at all. players: #Restrict access for the user "Test" to ip 127.0.0.1 Test: ip: 127.0.0.1 #True if player should be opped once they are verified op: true #Disallow Notch from joining at all Notch: ip: None op: false settings: #True if player should be banned if they fail IP authentication (or are not allowed ban-on-wrong-ip: true #Reason to kick a player if they fail IP authentication (or are not allowed) kick-reason: Nope.
Commands
command | description |
---|---|
/ips help | Show help page |
/ips reload | Reload the config. |
/ips /ips add [user] [ip] [op(true/false)] | Add a user to the config. |
/ips remove [user] | Remove a user from the config. |
All commands require the permission ipsecurity.admin
Still a good plugin. Perhaps something to update?
can i have a updated version
@icomputertinker
i coded the support. we will see when the next version is released. until then you can use maven to build the plugin from the source. https://github.com/h31ix/IPSecurity
Suggestion. Add multiple ips support.
:)
not working idk y the folder has the setting in it and everything but when i do /ips help says there no said command so i did /plugins n it doesnt show up any advice on what to do?
@iMMaGoHaRd
No need, It works perfectly fine.
You should update this.......
I was wondering, is this a means to cut all signal of the server unless its on this plugins list? if not that might have its uses here.
can we add multiple IPS to this?
@gravity_low
Yeah, I know, Always has worked fine for me, Love it ;)
@Enrux
It's... Not outdated... Have you tried it...?
@mormaii2
Maybe because the plugin is outdated? It would be nice if he decided to update it
I've tried using this and I clearly set my user to log in from 123.123.123.123 as to see if it's working and I log in normally so it's not working at all. Any ideas?
Is it possible to make "selective offline mode" with this plug-in ? I'm looking for a plugin, who run into a bukkit server in online mode, that allow an ip, for example my ip, to connect a "Test" player that I don't have a premium account.
It could be really useful to test some permissions as a player on your server.
@Yoyuyi999
That is exactly what this plugin does.
Is it possible so you make it so people can only connect to the server through a certain IP?
@Zilacon
i have craftbukkit 1.4.6, multiple ips do not work... mine looks like this:
player:
ip: 127.0.0.1
op: false
player:
ip: ip excluded
op: false
it ignores the first one and only uses second ip
@gravity_low I was long not online (Not enough time to play something).
The Dev version is crap.
The IP list isn't working.
Every login/logout i was deleted from "ops.txt".
Used craftbukkit-1.4.5-R0.3 [DEV 2500] and MC 1.4.5
@ProfLiebstrumpf
Added in this dev, please try and report back: http://ci.h31ix.net/job/IPSecurity/1/
