HealingTotem
HealingTotem
Description
I don't like pork. And I don't like eating it to gain health.
...ok, pork is delicious, but I need motivation for this plugin.
HealingTotems allows players to create totem poles that radiate healing powers and damage mobs. Once a player builds a totem, a "safe bubble" is created where players are continually healed and mobs are continually damaged. Totems are configurable: you can choose which blocks the totem is made out of, the healing power, and the range.
Features
- Configure the totem's structure, the range, and the power of the healing.
- Automatically detects the creation of new totems, no commands necessary. Automatically detects the destruction of a totem.
- Give totems negative power to make them EVIL.
- Players and Mobs are affected.
- Wolves are affected too! Tame wolves are healed, angry wolves are damaged.
- Turn a totem on or off with redstone. Totems are "active low," meaning they are normally on, but can be turned off by applying power.
- Uses Bukkit's built-in permission system.
Todo
- Configurable totem update rate (in server ticks)
- Add maximum stack of regen/degen per totem update (prevents insta-kill or insta-full)
- Add minimum/maximum health values (so that a totem can never kill or never fully heal)
- Add food support
- More options on which entities are affected
- Optional helper commands.
- Fix bugs. Let me know if you find any!
@d4rkwarriors
PEX supports the Bukkit Built in permissions
can u add support for the others permissions plugin? like PEX?
very useful, the ability to damage players is going to be particularly useful in a team PvP event on my server
but a few suggestions...
[I already ticketed this, but I am also posting here]
When using v0.8.1 of Healing totem it seems to not accept other worlds when using Multiverse. It works while the server remains up but the instant the server is reloaded for any reason it immediately spits out errors such as:
[INFO] [HealingTotem v0.8.1] is enabled!
[INFO] [HealingTotem v0.8.1] loaded 6 totem types
[WARNING] [HealingTotem v0.8.1] totem's world is not recognized
[WARNING] [HealingTotem v0.8.1] a totem couldn't be loaded
[INFO] [HealingTotem v0.8.1] loaded 5 totems
Which means I have to replace the totem every time and it stops me from placing more in other worlds.
This plugin is pretty awesome.
I would like to see notifications when you get in range and out of range of totems though. It's a bit hard to tell (aside from if you are being healed or damaged) when you are in range.
Thanks!

Or maybe you can feed the totems with sacrifices :O Like raw pork, or bones. So each sacrifice gives an ammount of time of healing.
What do you mean by give them negative energy? what is negative energy?
Do these totems 'expire' after a while? This looks pretty interesting, but I'd love to see it limited (to, say, 30 seconds or 5 minutes) or at least require a redstone pulse every so often (ten seconds, or maybe twenty) for it to keep working.
