If you are having problems this little guide should help you resolving the problems. Perform the following checks and fix the problems you have found.

Check #1: Check the permission nodes

OPs have all permissions as default. That means they can NOT use GroupBasedPVP problem-free. You have to manually remove the permission nodes from the players. The permission nodes are listed here: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/groupbasedpvp/pages/permissions/.

Check #2: Group names

Check the name of the groups. I would recommend you using lowercase letters in group names only to prevent any mistakes in the configs. Check the group names for writing mistakes and other things.

Check #3: Errors in console

If you find errors in the console, check if you are using special characters in the YAML (*.yml) files or if you have messed up the YAML layout it won't work. Backup your files and force a regenerate by deleting them and reloading the server.
