Giants That Spawn Naturally
This plugin takes direct inspiration from FatMarleys' plugin FatGiants, which in turn was inspired by NaturalGiants. This plugin also takes inspiration from NodinChan's MobJockeys.
This plugin was originally written by rmh4209, continued on by pkt77, and is now in the hands of Mammothskier.
Features
The Giants Plugin can naturally spawn Giants that have 8 Configurable attack mechanisms Configurable Health, Experience, Drops, and Spawn in configurable Worlds and Biomes. “The worst thing you can say about homework is that it is too hard. The worst thing you can say about a game is it's too easy.”
Attack Mechanisms
Attack Descriptions
Attack Mechanisms | Description |
---|---|
Default | The default Minecraft Giant attack - if a player is inside the giants legs, the player will instantly die. |
Lightning Attack | When a giant targets an entity, that entity will be struck by lighning |
Thow Boulder Attack | When a player is 5-10 blocks away from a giant, there is a chance the giant will "Throw" a Fireball in the direction the giant is facing |
Stomp Attack | When a player gets close to a giant, there is a chance the giant will stomp the player |
Kick Attack | When a player gets close to a giant, there is a chance the giant will kick a player at a configurable height |
Fire Attack | When a giant targets an entity, that entity will get set on fire and so will the giant (configurable) |
Lava Attack | When a giant targets an entity, it can sets lava under that entity |
Poison Attack | When a player gets near a giant, there is a chance that it will poison the player |
Shrapnel Attack | When a giant targets a player, the giant will spawn zombies around the player (configurable) |
Spawn Zombies on Death | When a giant dies, a configurable amount of zombies will spawn in that location |

MC Stats
This plugin uses mcstats for stat collection. You can opt out of this by going into the plugin metrics folder and setting opt-out to true.
Update to all:
I have started development on a working 1.9 version. Due to changes in craftbukkit, I was forced to update my method of file handling. This is for the better and will allow me to in the future make it so you don't have to constantly regenerate config files. There may be a few instance of where config values don't work. This is a quick fix though and can be done within a few minutes from a mobile device. (Meaning I can do it anywhere)
In other news, I don't have a clue how the combat update will affect the giants until after I get a working test version.

I have a request pls mr giants dev.... I would like to give my players a CrateKey for killing a giant. Could you make it possible to execute console commands on killing the giant? I would need a %player% type variable also pls. :D

Hi Guys,
I would like to appologize for my absense with this issue. I've been in the process of moving across the country. That error code will get fixed asap. As for the mushroom cow thing, that is actually an intended feature but is easy enough to change or set a config option for it. Same with mobspawners.

Would it be possible to block giants spawning from mob spawners? I use silkspawners and sometimes giants spawn from the spawner when players are at a mob grinder or similar. If its not possible to implement into the plugin how would i go about canceling those giant spawns from a spawner?

The code is there, the documentation isn't. When I get home I'll figure out the config line for an enchanted diamomd sword. What enchantments did you have in mind?
Cool plugin. But is there a way for the giants to drop, for ex, enchanted sword? Say i want to have the zombie giant to have a chans on droping a dimond sword with sharpness and unbreaking. Is it possible in the current state?

Thanks! That kick attack its not a problem inside my house... The problem are i received the default damage from inside, (the same damage if i stay on the legs of giant). Now the default attack have the same range of kick attack i think.

Drops issue: simple enough, ill go fix that right now. Running giants: My priority was to get giant zombies working again. Now I'll work on refining their abilities. Kick bug; the kick attack will activate if the player is within 10 blocks of the giant's legs, even if you are inside a house or something. Slowness potion issue: not sure how to fix that. I'll look into it but not promising anything.
