FutureSuite

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Sorry about the delay.

I've been really busy lately, and will get back to this ASAP.

FutureSuite - What is it?

FutureSuite will be a general-commands plugin, designed as a result of a lack of medium between too much and not enough functionality. Inspired by the pros of plugins such as CommandBook and Essentials, FutureSuite is designed for server admins who want a new way to manage their server and players. FutureSuite also aims to bring new features to the table, such as a simple session system which will allow you to chat with moderators in private without the disturbance of other players. FutureSuite will also allow you to moderate your server with ease by allowing you to keep a tab on private messages, mail, etc. All mail will be recorded to a central file to allow you to find malicious messages even after a player clears them from their inbox. FutureSuite will keep players (or just admins) occupied by adding several fun commands to entertain (or harass) themselves (or other players).

Commands are compressed, offering more functionality within each command while reducing the overall amount of commands (some commands may feature aliases for quicker processing {e.g. /tp -a will work the same way as /tpaccept, but /tpaccept is an alias of /tp}).

FutureSuite will consist of five command-components: general, fun, teleportation, cheats, and moderator commands. Examples include:

  • General: /afk, /getpos, /mail, /msg and /r, and /suicide
  • Fun: /facepalm, /dizzy, /hammer, /slap
  • Teleportation: /tp, /tptoggle, /tpa, /tpperm
  • Cheats: /item, /god, /fly, /table, /mob (spawner changing and spawning)
  • Moderator: /ac (admin chat), /ban, /kick, /mute, /spy, /broadcast

What makes it unique?

The unique part of FutureSuite is the focus on ease of use. Inspired by CommandBook's system, FutureSuite will use command flags to allow users to input a certain modifier at any point within the command. For example, /afk -lr Doing stuff will broadcast that you are doing stuff. Same goes for if you type /afk -l -r Doing stuff. The system will be designed to allow as many contexts as possible.

Most commands will support advanced context. I'll have more information on this later.

When will this be released?

When I finish this remains to be seen - I have school at the moment and it is difficult to acquire free time during the school year. However, during the summer break, work on this will proceed at full force. I aim to push at least one commit every week, though, so at least some work may be completed.
