Here's how DisposalSign works in pictures and text.

Creating DisposalSigns

The simplest form of DisposalSigns can be created by anyone with the "disposalsign.create.personal" permission and it goes something like this:

Put up a sign anywhere you want your disposal. You can input any of the three keywords like this (caps don't matter):

You don't need to enter anything else to create a "Personal" DisposalSign. Click the "Done" button and this is what you'll get:

Personal DisposalSigns are for the creator / owner only.

Shared DisposalSigns are created equally simple (note that the "disposalsign.create.friends" or "disposalsign.create.any" permissions are needed for this!):

Here I've created a shared DisposalSign where I allow EvilSeph to use my DisposalSign aswell. Anyone else attempting to use it will get a message that they can't use it. After clicking the "Done" button this is what you get:

Note that this time I used the second keyword: "garbage" - again it's case insensitive. If you'r only sharing your DisposalSign with one friend it doesnt matter if you use the 3rd or 4th line for your friend's name. The following example shows that I'm using my "disposalsign.create.any" permission to create a DisposalSign which will be owned by EvilSeph but it's shared with me:

Clicking the "Done" button produces this result - note that I've used the third accepted keyword "trash" (or "trashcan"):

As you can see the keyword "trash" will be auto-converted into "Trashcan" so it doesnt really matter if you put in "trashcan" or just "trash" to trigger this DisposalSign.

Here's an example of how you can create DisposalSigns that are accessible by anyone - i.e. a "Global" DisposalSign. Note that creating global DisposalSigns requires either the "disposalsign.create.any" permission or server OP. First line must contain a single asterisk / star and the second line any of the accepted keywords.

Using DisposalSigns

Right-clicking any DisposalSign will attempt to activate it for usage. Here I'll be using EvilSeph's shared DisposalSign ...

Right-clicking the sign allows me to dispose of my trash ...

... and after closing the window my trash is all gone ...
