Desert Living
Living in the desert was impossible without any trees before. But now with this plugin you can use normal desert resources to live a complete minecraft survival life. Some changes made are adding new recipes, such as cactus giving 8 wood and tools made with sandstone, to changing the way trees grow to allow them to work on sand.
Recipes
- 1 Cactus -> 8 Wood Logs
- Sandstone can replace stone in making stone tools
- Sandstone tools have a higher durability and speed for desert resources than the same tool with regular cobblestone
- Oak Logs->Spruce Logs
- Spruce Logs->Birch Logs
- Birch Logs->Jungle Logs
- Jungle Logs->Oak Logs

Crafting logs from cactus seems to work, but that's it.
@scifiboi
I could add that, I keep meaning to get the redesign started but school still gets in the way. If you are capable with java I will accept your github pull requests. My github repositories are all on github.com/modwizcode.
Is there any way to change the amount of wood that is crafted from cactus? I would think that 8 is a pretty big amount for a place with tons of cactus. :P EDIT: Also, is there any way I can help you with this plugin? I think it would be a great starting point to help me learn Java. I already know C#, and by what I can see, Java isn't that much different.
Sorry about long delay, I have basically forgotten about my dev.bukkit.org plugins due to school and learning projects. I will have an update soon.
@OverlordMathias
That's a good suggestion I will try to add that, I might make a seperate branch that uses some mods to add new items for more interesting gameplay.
You could make it so you slowly lose health in sunlight unless wearing armor crafted a particular way? I'm watching this plugin for fancy improvements. I'd like to see some kind of benefit/burden by living in the desert, so there's a reward for doing it, but not everyone will want to.
Hey im looking for some suggestions on where to go with this. I would like some suggestions on ways to increase functionality.
