Features
DeathChest is a Plugin for controlling the death of a Player. Each Player can set his DeathChest somewhere in a world. If he dies, his inventory will be transferred to this chest. You can also set packages of worlds for which the Inventory will be transferred to. A Player can therefore only place one DeathChest in one World-Package.
For example: Player a has the save inventory in world c and world d. His DeathChest is located in world c. He dies in world d. His inventory will be transferred to the DeathChest in World c.
There is also the possibility to place a chest at the death of a Player. The DeathChest created by the player will always be preferred to the SpawnChest on his death location. The SpawnChest can be activated by giving the Player the Permission: deathchest.spawnchest
There is an alternative to the SpawnChest: The Grave Yard signs. When a player dies, a sign is spawned at his death location. If the player destroys it again, his Items and part of his exp will be dropped. It can be changed between Grave Yard Signs and SpawnChests, changeing the option in the config.yml.
If you want weather SpawnChests nor Grave Yard Signs, just set the Config option to: plugin.General.useDeathSpawnType: 'none'
There are also several config-options to limit the transfer to the DeathChest.

How do I actually create a DeathChest?
This is simple. You just have to create a Sign above a Chest or a DoubleChest with the Letters: "deathchest" (not case sensitive) in any line of a Chest. After placing this sign, the DeathChest will be created and the first line will be filled with your name, the third line will be filled with the worldname the chest is in. (creating a DeathChest needs the Permission: deathchest.signedchest.create, saving your Inventory after you died to this chest needs the Permission: deathchest.signchest.saveto or just simply: deathchest.signchest.use (includes the permission to build, too))
With the Permission: deathchest.signchest.create.other a player can create a DeathChest of another person. Therefore line 0 has to be: "deathchest", line 1 has to be the Name of the Player.

Hi. I've been using DC for quite a while now, and I love it!
I found this bug with 1.13, after I upgraded from 1.11. When I revert to 1.11, the bug doesn't exist.
When a player dies ( one that doesn't have perms for a signchest nor deathchest) they don't drop any of their items. The items instead disappear.

I can confirm that 1.13 fixes the problem of the death sign being destroyed when the player is killed by a creeper. Thanks so much. This is a terrific mod.

How the hell did you get CB 1.5.2-R2.0 ? They are (currently) only at R1.1 as far as dl.bukkit.org. shows.

When a player is killed by an explosion (such as by a creeper blast), the graveyard sign is also destroyed, and thus the player loses all their possessions.
I saw someone else comment on this issue, but there wasn't a response.
Without this problem, this add-on would be perfect. Thanks again for the work on it.
Halo, @Tobiyas I Found Some bug like Double Diamond Helmet after die, if you fall from high place and u equip some like Diamond Helmet and die after you go deathchest you will get Diamond Helmet and you have still use Diamond Helmet in your head I'm use Bukkit server CB 1.5.2-R2.0

I seem to have come across a bug...
Scenario: Player 1 dies and a gravestone locked by lwc is placed. Player 2 attempts to use the gravestone to steal the items before player 1 gets back to retrieve his/her items. The gravestone tells player 2 "This Sign is locked with a magical spell". Then, player 1 arrives and tries to reclaim his/her items from the gravestone but is now unable to do so, it says "Notice: That Private Sign is locked by you" anytime you try to use the gravestone. The only way to then get rid of the gravestone is to destroy it which destroys your items its supposed to save and leaves the bedrock just sitting there. The only way to then get rid of the bedrock is to switch to creative mode.
This bug doesn't happen too often as the only way it will occur is if another player tries to mess with your gravestone. But when it does happen it is extremely annoying because all your items are just gone with no way at all to retrieve them...
Maybe I missed it but I give DeathChests to high ranking players. It seems that anyone with the deathchest permission can open up another player's deathchest. Even wilder is that when using sign/gravestones upon death, any player can break the sign thus rendering the deathchest useless, leaving just a block of bedrock with no way to retrieve the items.
Is there a way to stop other players with the permission from opening someone else's deathchest? And is there a way to prevent any player from breaking a gravestone sign?

Im pretty sure i have all permissions correct etc. But when i make a death chest, it says "no chest found underneath chest" when there is. Any help?
Waiting patiently for update to 1.5.2 and support for multiverse.
I have a few ideas!! Say you're renting a Deathchest to player .. you should be able to charge them daily or per death, a fixed and/or percentage charge. And be able to use the TrapChest instead of just the regular chest(For redstone reasons and command block). So...?

Hmm. it should. I have no issues with it working for me with over 15 worlds and at least 10 deathchests in each world.... What other plugs are you running? Pastebin your mv configs and your deathchest configs. I would be more than happy to look them over to see if we can get ya working.... I know how it feels to have a plugin not work for ya....
i have put all my worlds in the packages.yml
but always it says FreeBuild/CreativeWorld(whatever) not supportet for deathchest...
so it doesent work in multiverse by me...

What are you talking about it. It works fine in 1.5+... I use in on both my servers (live and test) servers. No issues other than an occasional glitch of the tombstones every now and then. What options do u have configured
EDIT: Take a look at your config and how you have your packages configured. This is where you set up multi-world stuff. So if it's not working in other worlds, you will need to add those words to your packages.yml

please update it to 1.5.1 and make it compatible for multiverse =(
I just want to say that I use this plugin on my server (mc.melonquest.com) and I love it! But, can you please update it to 1.5?
