It's set at 25% chance of success, so I could just be extremely unlucky every time...
Hi, I think that woodendinosaur was trying to tell you about the ability to add vision effects from unused potions in Minecraft. This plugin uses the effects that I am talking about.
Anyway, I love this plugin.
I can, but only with Spout. I'm planning to release a LOAD of Spout features in DarkBrotherhood 2.0, which im slowly adding in but they're all commented out (the blocks of code commented out in the source code is the spout stuff).
I have big plans for 2.0, which i am slowly working towards while at the same time adding new features and tweaks and squashing those damned bugs!
Heyas, I was reading the posts and though I haven't had any experience with it, I thought I saw somewhere that you could trigger the visual spell effects. So if possible, have a certain spell graphic trigger rather than chat spam onHideToggle for instance.
Okay well i just found out that /db reload reloads the config but NOT the variables i had saved from it. In other words, it wasn't working properly. It's already fixed for the next version (soon)

I don't use this on my own server because mine is creative :P I only use it on my private testing localhost server, so I don't really have a playerbase to get suggestions from, so i rely on these comments and surveys for that :) I see what you mean. Stealth can be pretty spammy. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of bukkit, the only way i can notify a player that he/she is invisible is through the Chat. Once i add Spout support, there will be an icon in the corner for it, but unfortunately players will have to use the Spoutcraft client to see the icon instead of the chat messages. I like the idea of a "warm-up" time, so you can't activate it right away. I'm also trying to figure out a way to be forced out of invisibility, maybe when you attack or something? It just seems overpowered to me to be able to go invisible whenever you want and wherever you want. The distance feature seems really cool, I'll try to implement that for the next release. It shouldn't take too long.
The code for assassination damage is really complicated and it scales with weapon choice etc. so its hard to make it configurable, but I'll try to rewrite the assassination damage system so it can be configurable! For lockpicking; paste your config.yml on http://pastie.org/ so i can check it.
I also suggest making everything configurable, like how much damage assassinations do etc. And lockpicking! It always kills me no matter what i set the damage too?? Please help
Some suggestions after using this for a while on our server.
Stealth shouldn't engage immediately when you sneak. It would be preferable if it took a second or 2 for you to go invisible. As of right now, it's Overpowered for how fast you can do it, and spammy with how easy it is to constantly trigger it.
Stealth is amazing otherwise. The only other thing I can suggest is, possibly allowing us to further tweak invisibility. ie, how far away you can be seen, etc.
In reference to the climbing error. Did the block beneath you when climbing get changed by an outside source (i.e A source not directly connected to DarkBrotherhood)? Or is the block beneath you changing-from or changing-to something other than air and glass when climbing? Just a thought. I don't know if it will be relevant in this case.
I don't think you're using 1.6.5, because that was the screwed up config from 1.5. Delete all darkbrotherhood folders if there's more than one, and restart your server after making SURE you've updated to the latest version.

I seem to be unable to get DarkBrotherhood to use permissions. I've been using debug mode, and I can see the darkbrotherhood.reload check when I /db reload. I cannot, however, see any permissions checks when I sneak, fall off of something while sneaking, click with a flint, or anthing else. I seem to be able to use most abilities, as long as I am OP. The exception is climbing, which creates this error.
I just tested both those ideas out, but neither worked because its all clientside for that... I tried multiple ways, such as setting the door from the server and canceling the player's click, and setting the player's location from server and canceling the movement, but i could steal hear the sounds.
I like where this plugin is going :D Is there any way you could make it so when someone walks their footsteps are silent? It would be cool if you could make it so that you can open doors silently too but I doubt that's doable.
This is already a known bug (thanks for pointing that out iSnear) and is already fixed for the next version, but i'm waiting to release it to finish the lockpicking because it doesnt work very well as of now.

I don't know what's causing that to happen, but lockpicking has been completely rewritten for v1.7 and its tested to work perfectly.

Did a rm -r Dark* on my plugins dir. nothing darkbrotherhood related left. I went and redownloaded, and it still does it.
Edit: to be clear, I did change perms to true in the file, and did a /db reload.

I'll fist you if you add pickpocketing <33 If you do add pickpocketing could you also make it so that you can steal money as well as items.
