What is CustomSpawners?
CustomSpawners lets you make any block a mob spawner! These spawners can be of any type, have many configurable properties, and can be hidden because materials like stone, grass, even air can be a spawner block! After creation, you can use it like in-game MCEdit to make custom mob spawner blocks too!
The mob types can be customized as well. Create mobs for your spawners like giant slimes that have only half a heart of health, different colored sheep, and if you want the ultimate boss, try giants or charged creepers with damage resistance and regeneration potion effects! You can even change how mobs take and deal damage!
Some Ideas for CustomSpawners:
- Make multiplayer dungeons with mobs that only appear when you get close!
- Make arenas with powerful waves of mobs!
- Create puzzles that won't turn off a spawner until solved!
- Create entities that can only be damaged from certain items or objects!
- Make ultra-dynamic dungeons that change depending on the amount of players in them!
- Make Custom Mob Spawners in-game! (No MCEdit required!)

Installing
Simply download the CustomSpawners jar file from the download button above, and drop it in you plugins directory. Make sure you only have one version of CustomSpawners in the directory. After that, you can refer to the configuration page on the wiki for configuration of the plugin.
Basic Usage
I strongly recommend watching the tutorial series! I go into much more depth there.
To make a spawner, follow these steps!
- Login to your server.
- Run the command "/cse create <type of entity>" where "<type of entity>" is a mob like a pig or zombie. Note the GOLD ID number printed on screen.
- Select the entity with "/cse select <id>" where "<id>" is the golden ID given to you.
- You can set properties to the mob now, all of which are listed on the wiki.
- Now look at the block you want to make a spawner on, and run "/css create". You will see a ID number in gold for the spawner too.
- Select the spawner with "/css select <id>" where "<id>" is the golden spawner ID given to you.
- Make the spawner work in any light level by running "/css maxlight 15".
- Turn on the spawner with "/css on" and watch the mobs spawn!
Some other useful commands:
- "/customspawners" - displays the plugin info, and provides links to the main page for CustomSpawners and thebiologist13's BukkitDev profile.
- "/css on [id]" - Turns a spawner on.
- "/css off [id]" - Turns a spawner off.
- "/css listall" - list all the existing spawners and locations.
- "/cse listall" - list all the existing entities and their names if they have one.
- "/css setname [id]" - gives a spawner a name so it is easier to find.
- "/cse setname [id]" - gives an entity a name so you can identify it easier.
Development and Downloads
CustomSpawners is currently in Beta and may have a few bugs here and there. Many features will be modified, added, or improved on soon! You can download these versions from the download button above.

Can you make a potion effect permanent on a mob, or set their movement speed as oppose to their exit velocity?

As always, love the plugin, and thanks for the tons of hard work you've put into it. However, I was wondering if you're planning on waiting until 1.7 comes out or if you are actually working on updating for 1.6.x... knowing what your plans are will greatly help to improve my user's experience (they are tired of this plug being broken in 1.6.4, and if you are going to wait for another major release, then I need to find some sort of alternative to customspanwers... which would truly suck, considering as how I had only just finally gotten everything woring exactly the way i wanted it, but blah: ain't that just the way, lol). Anyway, let me know.

I have a temp fix if you want to use CS on 1.6.4
Step 1: go to - http://ci.md-5.net/job/Spigot/1107 or www.spigotmc.org then download Build #1107
Step 2: Rename your Spigot.jar to Bukkit.jar
Step 3: Replace your old Bukkit.jar with the renamed Spigot.jar and start server!
Citizen is one plug that dosent work with Build #1107

Thank you so much for the time you put in. As is the case with many others, I really love this plugin, every time I use it, I find it to be easy to use and implement. I have no requests for you as it works for me the way it is. I do however have a couple of suggestions: 1) It took me a long time to find the information on the %dropchance tag on items when setting mob equipment. Maybe make this a little clearer in the wiki or help command if you have a chance. I will say however that I LOVE being able to set an item's drop chance. 2) I don't really know what the group feature does. Maybe this one is my own failing from not looking hard enough? Is it just as a means of quick-reference? Not really a suggestion I know but maybe you can find one in the question there.

Hey biologist. As always this is one of my favorite plugins. I've used it to great success on every server I've owned, and my most recent is entirely built around it, which means
1) I'm excited for your 1.6.4 update because my server is waiting on your plugin
2) I'm gonna make another feature request, just to put it out there. I know you're busy and completely understand if it can't be done, or can't be done soon.
On my server, we have custom zombies made with this plugin.We have to scatter spawners across the map and it leads to a large number of spawners, which creates a bit of lag. Even with this, there are dead spots and the coverage isn't great. I wish your plugin could handle very large regions for spawning (eg one spawner with a radius of 1500 blocks) but plugging numbers like that into it makes the spawner act like its off. I assume large variables confuse something in the code. If it's not very hard, could you patch that or create some method of spawning entities over a very large region without having 200 separate spawners? Thanks!

Hey everyone!
Sorry I've been really inactive with CustomSpawners lately. My life got really busy recently and I haven't had the time to code or respond to your comments. It also doesn't make much sense financially for me to dedicate lots of time to CustomSpawners, as the donations I receive are few and far between. I can make quite a bit more developing for a server privately. Thank you SO MUCH to the people that have already donated though, you are truly awesome. :D
I'll try to get an update out for CustomSpawners in the near future since Minecraft 1.6.4 is out. It probably won't have too many new features though.
One last thing to address, I'm sorry for the bugs that exist for some properties with entities/spawners. It is important to note that I still consider CustomSpawners a beta plugin and I often don't have the time to thoroughly test features when I receive 50 emails a day about people wanting a new update.

Keep your server with 1.6.2, and I know that the update will come soon, thebiologist do always a great job, and quite fast.

I have same problems. Witches are only doing damage when spawned with /cse spawn command. Angry property only works on Zombie Pigmen for me
CustomSpawners 0.5 does not support this version of Bukkit.
Please update. i really need this to work for my server in a way. if not is there something like it?
I have spawned a witch, and she isn't causing any damage. She only throws poison potions, and they don't poison me.
I have also created "angry" wolves, but they don't attack.
No idea what's happening. Am I missing something?
