CHDistantFarm
CHDistantFarm is a lightwight and highly optimized plugin that keeps your plants growing when you're away and the chunk is unloaded.
Features:
- Keeps ur plants growing, while the chunk is unloaded
- Supports all important plants
- Nether Warts
- Crops
- Melons
- Pumpkins
- Cactus
- Sugar Cane
- Saplings
- Uses the original minecraft algorithms
- Low level caching for maximum performance
- Auto unregistering of plants if they are fully grown or destroyed
Installation:
- Put the plugin in your plugins directory
- The plugin uses the database from your bukkit.yml (default is sqlite)
- Replant the blocks that you want to grow when the chunk is unloaded
- Edit the configuration file
Upcomming:
- PermissionsEx support
- Disable the features for a specific player
- Disable growing for a plant on a specific world
Known bugs:
- Growing does not work for the spawn area
- Thats a minor issue, because the spawn chunk is always loaded, and the game will grow your plants without the plugin

@LHammonds
Thanks for your feedback :) I think you are right and the unregistered blocks are the auto planted seeds from mcMMO. I will have a look at the mcMMO API, maybe there is some kind of event to detect this, but i doubt it.
@xboxhacks
You can add as may worlds as you want in the config file. If a world is not in the list, all plants are enabled by default.
Thanks for making and sharing this mod. I really disliked how I had to stand in the middle of my large crops just to get them to grow. Now I can have my large crops, go adventuring and come back with everything ready to harvest like one would expect (unless one were to believe they were the center of the universe and thought themselves an actual ray of sunshine. hehehe).
I am running CHDistantFarm 1.06 on CraftBukkit 1.2.4-R1.0 and it works great.
However, I did see a small percentage of the crops not growing as expected. I turned on debug mode and found that the individual wheat blocks which seemed to be having growth issues were not "registered" with CHDistantFarm (CHDF) and acted like it was a new block when destroying and re-planting. I believe this is an issue with mcMMO's herbalism skill. The higher skilled you are at herbalism, the higher the chance that a particular block will auto-replant upon harvesting. I believe these auto-replants are bypassing the mechanism used in CHDF to detect the planting of seeds and thus not making its way into the CHDF database.
It would be nice if this auto-replant can be detected by CHDF but not necessarily a must-have feature. The mcMMO auto-replant is awesome when first starting off your farm because it saves you precious seeds whenever it auto-replants...but later on, this seed-saving feature is not really needed or useful since we tend to have so many seeds that we tend to discard left-overs.
So in early stages of farming with mcMMO, I allow the auto-replant but know that it will not grow unless I am around...but later on, I simply destroy the auto-replants and plant everything manually to ensure CHDF takes care of its growth.
Thanks, LHammonds
is it possible to add multiworld support like i have 4 worlds, world, world_nether, Drugs and Drugs_Nether and i only want this enabled on Drugs_Nether and Drugs is that possible?
EDIT: NVM Think i have found the option. Stupid question =\
@dockter
The algorithm my plugin uses is basicly the same as the original one. It actually is possible for wheat to grow within 5 minutes, but i think it does not happen very often.
I need assistance: This is working TOO good.
Crops (wheat) planted is growing to full maturity within 5 minutes.
@AuraL17
I tested it with one of the 1.2.4 dev build before releasing the 1.06 version. I should work. Same for you: Try enabling the debug mode in the config file for detailed console logs.
Seems to not work on latest craftbukkit dev for 1.2.4
@dockter
I never really tested it with the CraftBukkit+,+ builds, but as they claim keeping the plugin compatibility it "should" work. Try enabling the debug mode in the config file for detailed console logs.
Doesnt work with CB(plusplus) 169.
update: I may be wrong, more testing needed.
@dockter
No, it is working with the latest snapshots. But i will update the plugin as soon as i find some time. I have to add support for the new jungle tree saplings.
Does this conflict with CB ?

@vilsol
Yes its fully working.
Is this working in 1.2.3?
@MinecraftZacherl
i will, it might just take till the weekend, i'm really busy right now :/
Does that uses same chances/speed than normal minecraft? I don't want people abuse this so they can get their crops faster.
@otaconhc
Could you please open a ticket and upload your server log before planting, after planting and after you came back?
@owenftw
Yes im going to make a plugin for this.
Doesn't work for me with Bukkit R4. I plant some sugarcane, and when i come back after a few hours, nothing grew :(
@owenftw
This would be AMAZING.
