CHDistantFarm
CHDistantFarm is a lightwight and highly optimized plugin that keeps your plants growing when you're away and the chunk is unloaded.
Features:
- Keeps ur plants growing, while the chunk is unloaded
- Supports all important plants
- Nether Warts
- Crops
- Melons
- Pumpkins
- Cactus
- Sugar Cane
- Saplings
- Uses the original minecraft algorithms
- Low level caching for maximum performance
- Auto unregistering of plants if they are fully grown or destroyed
Installation:
- Put the plugin in your plugins directory
- The plugin uses the database from your bukkit.yml (default is sqlite)
- Replant the blocks that you want to grow when the chunk is unloaded
- Edit the configuration file
Upcomming:
- PermissionsEx support
- Disable the features for a specific player
- Disable growing for a plant on a specific world
Known bugs:
- Growing does not work for the spawn area
- Thats a minor issue, because the spawn chunk is always loaded, and the game will grow your plants without the plugin

While that may be true, there's no reason a mod like this couldn't grow! Support for furnaces and brewing stands would be a lovely addition
mhh maybe i have to rewrite the complete plugin :/
@MinecraftZacherl
Thank you!
My friend's server also gets the same issues as Giinger gets as well (but without mysql, but mostly console spam), but we'll be reinstalling anyway. (Users on our server have really, REALLY huge farms, since it's a drug server.)
@midnighte2
The plugin is called CHDistantFarm I dont think furnaces will be added >_>
@MinecraftZacherl
Hopefully it will fix all the errors im getting
@MinecraftZacherl
It has to be something with your plugin though, it gets up to 29 seconds of lag and sometimes even crashes at 30 seconds. When I removed the plugin, this problem was gone.
@tuxed
Yes, im going to update the plugin for 1.3.1 this week.
Any chance of this supporting cocoa beans?
@Giinger
I dont think, the lag is caused by my plugin. It saves data everytime a chunk gets unloaded and loads the data, if the chunk gets loaded again (with caching).
When using my MySQL server for the storing of data, I get big lag spikes every like 30 minutes and sometimes those even crash the server for a short while. Would it have to do with storing of info for a while and then the uploading of all that info all at once?
Is there anything I could do to fix this?
Any chance on adding the ability to include Furnaces and such to this. I can't seem to find a simple mod that does it as well.
I noticed that when a cactus has fully grown, it no longer grows it the top is broken via a block. I noticed this in a cactus farm. For now I have cactus disabled.
Hello, you have a release date for when going out the version with permissions support ?
@Wannab007
No sorry. Im not going to add that.
@chickenputty
Its the "MeineKraft Texture Pack".
@meowmixmix3
No.
@Goullou
Thats strange. I will fix that after the MC 1.3 release.
@spunkiie
You should defenitely try using MySQL instead of the SQLite default.
would there be a way to add a configuration to change the growth rate of specific plants and maybe add mushrooms with a configurable spread rate?
What texture pack is the image shot with?
