Chairs
Chairs - Sit down on stairs
The Chairs plugin makes it possible to use stair-blocks as seats so that you are able to sit down on them. It is similar to the ChairCraft plugin. This one works properly, though.
Note: It appears that you will see yourself as sitting a bit higher than you are supposed to, other players will see you sitting normal, though (screenshot).
How To:
Thanks to the guys from WoopaGaming who did a showcase of this plugin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbUxIiBYJ6k
To sit down on a chair, you simply have to rightclick on the stairs-block.
- If you have the "sneaking"-option in the config.yml enabled, you have to sneak while rightclicking.
- If you have set the "distance"-option to a value higher than 0, you have to be close enough to the chair to be able to sit down.
- If you have the "sign-check"-option enabled, there have to be signs at the end of the chair/row of chairs to be able to sit down.
- If you have set the "max-chair-width"-option to a value higher than 0, the chair/row of chairs must not be longer than this value.
To stand up from a chair, you have to rightclick on it. You can also destroy the chair to stand up.
The config.yml contains an explanation to all the options you can set, please read it before asking questions.
Note: The "item"-option in the config.yml if the type of item you are sitting on. Players can only "sit" on entities (like minecarts or mobs. Item drops are entities, too). This plugin uses item drops on which the player sits down. You can configure the type of item drop, because it is possible that you will sometimes see it floating through the player's body. A lever is quite small, that's why it is the default value
Commands & Permissions:
chairs.reload
- /chairs reload - Reload the Chairs configuration file.
chairs.sit
- Sit down on chairs.
cool plugin but what you guys thinking about making bar chair let say 1 leg and somepleace to sit ?
Any chance this plugin is compatible with older versions of bukkit? say 1.1-r4? :) would love to have it but can't update anytime soon due to mod restrictions.
Thanks
Same issue
Hi! this plugin is awesome but in my server [MC1.2.5] it only works for ops. I added the permission node but it doesnt seem to work. please help!
I love this plugin but could you cancel the placement event when sitting? I never have an open slot in my inventory and I'm tired of picking up random blocks when sitting. Other than that, love it!
@spoothie
if you could understand me better this time,
that's because somebody else helped me writing this. :)
1) Could you tell me the examples of exact names that i can use?
Because, when i set the name as "air", an error occurred.
2) Thanks, but never mind. it's not necessary for now.
3) Thank you so much!
haha.. ok... i think its because i put slabs into the config also.
@Hangar
No, it's the type of item you are sitting on. Players can only "sit" on entities (like minecarts or mobs. Item drops are entities, too). This plugin uses item drops on which the player sits down. You can configure the type of item drop, because it is possible that you sometimes see it floating through the player's body. A lever is quite small, that's why it is the default value. If you think the sign-check/distance/crouching are too many restrictions, you can disable them in the config.yml.
@spoothie
So you're saying we have to declare an item that people have to hold in order to sit down? My only issue with that is you can never be sure any given person will have any given item available (like if we have an impromptu gathering somewhere). I'd just like to make it as easy and natural to sit as possible. Right-clicking a chair that has signs on it at 1 block away while I'm crouching seems like enough restrictions. Requiring an item held in hand on top of that feels like overkill. Oh well :)
@superdupernova
With version 1.4 you should see the item you have set in the config.yml (note that it cannot be AIR). This works for me.
@Hangar
You have to set a valid item in the config.yml. At the top of the file you can find a link to a list which contains all supported names (note that it cannot be AIR).
@ChrissWR1
I will look into it.
@Bear809
I added a small "How To" to the op.
@szoller
This works for me even if I don't have any rights for the region. Can you try to set the "use"-flag of the region to "allow"? Which version of WorldGuard do you use?
@ntscape
1) There has to be an item, that's how the plugin works. You can set the type of the item in the config.yml, though.
2) So that you e.g. cannot completely turn around while sitting?
3) You mean you are shifted a but up after a while? That seems to be a weird bug, I will look into it.
@Raggarcowboy
Currently 0.7 is the maximum height. I can try to increase it.
@Switch0r
Im getting the same problem also... although im using Chairs 1.4... im wondering, could it be other plugins that causes this?
I personally think that 0.7 is too low for sitting. So when I tried to make it higher in the config, it doesn't seem to work. I've changed it from 0.7 to 1.0, is it something wrong or should I just make it higher?
Sorry guys, I am on holiday right now, I will answer your questions within the next week. Please be patient.
Why not update the Commands & Permissions Section with how to use your plugin? I have no clue how to sit on these chairs :D
What is this lever! lol.. something like... whatever.. Awesome plugin!!
First,
How can i hide The Lever?
Second,
Can you add features to limit the angle of body and view rotation?
Last,
Sit down and wait a bit, increases in height From 0.3 to 0.7.
I tested in CraftBukkit 1.2.3 R0.2.
It seems, in WorldGuard Regions non-OPs can't sit even if they are Member...
how do you GET OFF of the chair?
Please more info
How do we use them?
ChairCraft could heal you while sitting. This feature would be nice in this remake.
Thank you!
