BurningMobs
Burning Mobs
This is an updated version of the original BurningMobs plugin by MCSpazzy. It allows you to set whether hostile mobs burn in sunlight, on a per-species basis.
Currently affected mobs
- Zombies
- Skeletons
- Creepers
- Spiders
- Endermen
Modify the entries in the configuration file to set which mobs should burn and which shouldn't.
Permissions
The only permission available at the moment is burningmobs.* This grants access to the burnmobs command.
Updates
Most Bukkit updates will not affect this plugin's actions, so the most recent BurningMobs update should function on Bukkit versions later than the one it was built for. However, if an issue does occur, let me know and I will update ASAP.
@Chaznuts I haven't managed to update my server to the latest CB build yet, so I haven't been able to test if it works properly on the new build. I will have a look into the endermen problem, thanks for reporting!
@Hanfox Any luck? I'd quite like to fix this issue, if we can find out whats actually happening.
Wow I have loved this plugin for a long time and since there wasn't a link to dev.bukkit on your original forum, I thought it was just inactive.. So happy I found this again and it works!
But with that said, enderman aren't burning and I'm currently using CB 1.2.5 R2. Not sure if the plugin needs an update or what, but I tried turning off/on enderman burning, and nothing changed.. not too worried though, as spiders and creepers still burn and that's mainly what I wanted! :)
Thanks for picking up and updating a great plugin! Keep up the great work!
@Meindratheal
Hmm, there is Seasons, but I haven't changed the actual default length of day/nights.
I'll try disabling it and see if I still get any issues.
I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. Do you have any plugins that modify the way time flows?
I will look into this ASAP. I see no problems with the configuration, so I assume it's something in the code.
@Meindratheal
Seem to have the burning at night issue, too. Seems to be everything, but definitely creepers and spiders.
Does this happen for everything or just creepers? Also, what's your config?
I have a problem Creepers are burn after sunset for 5 minutes
Thank you so much, its working.
There we go, I gave it a little testing, could you let me know if it works correctly?
Glad to see that you know what the problem is. :)
I think I can see what's happening, and the solution should be fairly simple again, just a matter of re-adding the onEntityCombust listener (in whatever form it's now in). I only removed it before in the interests of performance, but I can't see it being much of a drain at all, so I can just re-add it, and it should fix your issue.
As an aside, this issue would happen on any version.
Alright ,so it basically burns where there is sunlight but it dosent burn continuously it burns like every 8 second.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to the updated Minecraft client, so it may take a while. Until then, could you give me a little more information? If it's because they're on snow or other transparent blocks, then I may be able to fix it, but if it's something else then I need some more information.
Can you fix it please? i really need this :(
@TJ77
Pew pew! If it's the same problem I had and never fixed...If they are standing on snow, or any other non solid block, the code doesn't work properly.
Hey i am using Bukkit for minecraft 1.2.3 and the zombies and skeletons still burn even when i have set burn zombie and skeletons to false. Can you look into it please?
Just wanted to comment that this plugin works great. Leftover mobs were becoming a hassle. Keep up the good work!
I see a large amount of downloads, but no comments. I assume that it works fine then :D
