BleedingMobs
BleedingMobs
Make your mobs bleed a little
BleedingMobs creates a blood effect, when you hit animals, monsters and other players. It generates blood particles using wool and redstone drops, that disappear after a short time and stain the floor with colored wool blocks. All particles can't be picked up and the wool blocks on the floor can't be broken. This plugin is highly customizable in the config.yml. If you need more options, just add a comment or create a ticket.
You should watch the videos to see the effects in action.
The idea for this project came after watching Yogscast: "Shadow of Israphel" Part 25 and 29.
Permissions You need the permission bleedingmobs.admin (default: op) to use the /bleedingmobs command. You need the permission bleedingmobs.bloodstrike (default: true), if you enable permission-only in config. If you enable the permission bleedingmobs.noblood (default: false), you will not bleed when hurt.
Statistics Since Version 3.4 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server http://mcstats.org/. You can disable it using the command /bleedingmobs disable-metrics
@Jarrett78
Doing what? How are you doing it? I can't fix what you don't explain. In my testing there is no way to pick up the "blood". If you are going to report a bug, make sure you actually give relevant details about the bug and how to reproduce it.
@Iaccidentally
It's doing the same for me.
@user_238412
How? Most likely you are using an outdated version or another plugin is interfering.
Disabled because you can pickup the "blood"..
I commented dh35367 and now the comment is gone weird but sometimes i type /killall (Essentials) when there is too many mobs where im going to build and all the mobs is getting killed and that lag pretty much because of all the blood and did you decide if you will add /blood ignore ? i know its complex but Some people have bad graphic cards and the blood make they lag.
@dh35367
No, this project has always had this name. The activity log proves that. On September 1st 2011, this project was approved under the name BleedingMobs. Now please stop being ridiculous.
Proof from activity log
@Iaccidentally you changed your name from bloody mobs
@dh35367
Actually, it looks like you are copying us. Your plugin was posted less than a month ago, and still has no files. This plugin has existed for years. How exactly do you propose that I copied you? This was the first "bleeding mobs" plugin for bukkit, ever. Furthermore, why would you report me to me?
On a side note: BukkitDev does allow for more than one project with the same function. So, unless code is copied, it is allowed anyways.
you copyers! im going to report you!
Thanks, everyone was saying it on my server, so just making sure :)
I reinstalled it, and it doesn't seem to lag now. Thanks
@Jarrett78
Waiting on bukkit to give me the ability to fix this.
@muffinjello
I'll look into the redstone thing, and if you want to make a banner, great. I was going to make a new one myself but never got around to it.
It seems I'm the first to make note of this... The hoppers grab the blocks dropped from the mobs.
Also, Would you like a banner made for the plugin? Your current one doesn't seem to work that well, and I'm pretty decent at photoshop - Reply to this with an idea/thought for the banner, and I'll get to it, ASAP.
Hey! Just a quick suggestion - Would it be possible to implement it so that you can have redstone block (ID 121) of red-wool staining the ground, for every mob. (Configurable)
Thanks! Muffinjello
@Yank33s0028
It shouldn't lag the server at all, beyond a little local lag if you kill lots of mobs really fast. You can also adjust the settings in the config if you think so. I've never seen it cause actual sustained lag.
Does this lag anyone elses server? I have a lot of lag on my server and everyone is saying it comes from this plugin.
@Iaccidentally
Yeah !* You are right ! *
@nelson2wsx
Why? Because nothing this plugin uses changed between 1.4.7 and 1.5.
Oh! I just tested and ... Sorry! Now v4.3 can be used in 1.5 NOW!
But ... Oh ... I don't know... WHY?
@nelson2wsx
I haven't had any issues with 1.5, what specific issue are you getting? It works perfectly for me other than the version check.
