BedrockMine

BedrockMine allows you to mine bedrock with a diamond pickaxe, it takes 1 second (Default, configurable). This can only be done with a diamond pickaxe (Default, confiurable). You can not mine the bedrock on Y: 0 (Deault, Configurable), has factions support.

Cool; Sounds great :) I'll test it as soon as it is released/uploaded
@gergith
OK thanks, should be fixed in 1.1.3 and it should use less memory.
@Retherz_
Glitch persists in 1.1.2
To test:
Use a shovel or sword or some WRONG tool to break bedrock first. Then try and break it with correct pickaxe.
Won't work.
I just remembered all this time I've had access to server logs but there is nothing noteworthy showing up there either.
Don't worry, everything is breakable again after reset. So it's just very annoying, but not a complete and utter deal breaker!

@gergith
Should be fixed now! in 1.1.2
Perhaps you could implement a debug mode to help crush this last bug?
Just noticed this Merciless! Thanks! you didn't need to do that! Cool regardless :)

@CookieCrafterMC
What isn't working? And could you post the error message
When will this plugin be fixed? I'm the person who requested this plugin on the Bukkit Pluigin Requests page.
@Retherz_
What is the method you use to determine that I can break bedrock? is the code run the same no matter how many times I try/which tool I try? (Im just asking to suggest methods of squashing this bug; No clue otherwise)
@gergith
Strange, it doesn't save any information...
@Retherz_
You seem to have re-introduced a bug; Which is the current glitch for unbreaking Bedrock...
So this glitch resets when I reset the server. But your system for keeping track of if Bedrock can be broken is where the glitch is.
So basically, if I use ANY tool OTHER than my diamond pickaxe, the bedrock won't break as expected. But if I try and break it after with my diamond pickaxe, after trying with a shovel, then it won't let me.
This is the same glitch I've reported before. It's your system that keeps track if Bedrock can be broken. It's messed up. Because when you reboot, the cached state of the bedrock seems to disappear allowing for them to be broken again.
Can you please fix this? having to reboot my server every time I want to get 100% of the bedrock out is NOT a good solution and is making me seek out other plugins with this feature.
You should include a debug mode for your plugin so I can actually help you quickly fix bugs, instead of this guess and check garbage trying to fix the bugs for you....
@gergith
Yes
@Retherz_
Thanks; Safe to assume I'll have to manually change it BACK from 0 to 1 for it to act like it's supposed to in the config file?
@gergith
I fixed the minbreak value in 1.1.1
I'll look into the glitch..
@Retherz_
I guess you have no intent in fixing the ambiguity of the minbreak value given your lack of reply but positing an update? Given that I program in C I know from a code perspective this is VERY easily changed.
Does this latest version fix my glitch with unbreakable random bedrocks until I do a server restart?
You seemed to not really be responding about my request to help track down/squash the bug so I'm not certain if it's something you're actually working on, or something you can't/won't fix until I figure out what is causing it for you...
@Retherz_
Is there anything I can do to make you more certain about the glitch?
And in terms of setting it to 0, does that mean you have no plans an altering the ambiguity of the value? like... minbreaky: 1 means that y is the minimum broken... But now you're telling me to set min break y to 0.. so what if I want minbreaky to be 0? do I need a setting of -1?
This makes no sense, and I fear I'll change it then you'll change it in an update... Which is what you said you'd do in a previous post.
@gergith
Not sure about the glitch, but setting it to 0 allows them to mine Y1+
@Retherz_
Two things!
1) The Glitch with the ODD Bedrock block not breaking: I don't know what causes it still, but when I do a full server reboot, I can then break the bedrock blocks :) So the solution might lie in the system used to check if bedrock can be broken and the cache/db used of blocks already checked? *shrug*
2) For the ambiguity of the bedrock mine level. Should I change mine one level down in my version? or wait for you to update the plugin? I just don't want it to change on your end after I change it on my end and then allow my poor users to dig through into the void :p
@Retherz_
There is still the VERY odd Bedrock I can't break that's above Y:1, but I have yet to figure out why. I'll still bug check to see how to replicate it :)
