What issue are you having that is forcing you to use MySQL?
@anon_yt
I'll check to see if the database.yml override is actually working.
@rustyshakelford2
I have the same problem. I am using this configuration.
@rustyshakelford2
Have you create before the mysql database named 'bans' ?
Plugin don't create database, just use it :)
I'm trying to use a sql database for bans to work around the issue i'm having, and the plugin seems to ignore database.yml. I have this in there and it still uses the bukkit.yml settings:
When I change the database settings in bukkit.yml to this it works, but that breaks my other plugins.
It may be a example file (no password or user) but what the file where this url of config.yml

For plugin specific overrides you can see database.yml.
How to configure the database. Some example please.
@grandwazir
sure.

It works fine on my test server. We will need to investigate further. Could you please open a ticket on GitHub by clicking Tickets at the top of the page and tell me what version of Bukkit you are using, any mods and any other plugins so I can reproduce the problem.
@grandwazir
I have tried that too. I don't know what happened, like did something break or what? I also tried removing the mod and its folder, start server, close it and put it back in. Still the same problem.
@xSnowBlitzz718
Try it again but with no other plugin loaded than BanHammer and see if it continues.
Sorry for spam, here's - http://pastebin.com/NrD70gqi
When I go back to the old version, everytime I ban, it takes about 1 minute for it to process and during that processing, the server lags. wtf happened.
Tested it, whenever I ban someone, it crashes the server. I'm not joking. :/ Guess I'll be going back to the old version until this is fixed.
Is that version stable and tested? Wanted to make sure before I update to it :3 Thank you by the way
A new version has been released and will be approved shortly.
@Nekuroi
I have updated the documentation. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks @raum
@grandwazir Please update the Getting Started page to present this change.
@Nekuroi
This was already addressed elsewhere. ;)
You have to add -t before the t:1h -> "/bh ban player -t t:1h being silly"
"/ban someone t:1h being silly" bans someone permanently and "t:1h being silly" is as the reason.
@rustyshakelford2
Yeah that is odd. I don't think I have touched that code. Could you create a bug report for me and I will look more closely.
@Nekuroi
Define don't work.
