Backpack
Everyone wants extra storage, Backpack!
Do not use the 1.6.x builds of backpack with a 1.7.x. server....
Backpack
Core Features
- Configurable Drop on death
- Uses Vault for Economy handler.
- Allow your players to expand their Backpack from 9 slots to a max of 54.
- Multiworld support with different Backpacks or Sharing!
- Overflow abilities from players main inventory. (Must have at least 1 open slot to make overflow abilities work).
- Blacklist Abilities - deny certain items in the Backpack
- Fully functional API.
Spout Enabled Features
[Requires SpoutPlugin ]
- Custom GUI for Upgrading Backpacks.
- Custom Hotkey assignments for opening Backpack.
Multi-Server Enabled
- This plugin is written for both Bukkit and Spout Servers.
Developers:
- AlmuraDev Team
Configuration
File: config.yml
General:
- use-economy: Whether or not to enable economy system for backpack purchase & upgrades.
- use-spout: Whether or not to enable SpoutPlugin based features.
Admin:
- control-panel: Enable or disable Admin Panel.
- hotkey: KEY_V {default keybinding inside of Spoutcraft to display Admin Panel}
Backpack:
- no-perm-default-size: 9 {default backpack size if no permissions system found}
- hotkey: KEY_B {default keybinding inside of Spoutcraft to open Backpack}
File: blacklist.yml
- Contains list of items you dont want users to save in their backpack.Follow file format automatically created. Use only names of materials, not numbers.
File: share.yml
- Contains list of backpack shareable worlds.
share: world: - world_nether - world_end
In this above configuration, WORLD is the name of the Parent World. The child objects below it will be the name of shared worlds from the parent. Simply modify the name of your Parent Worlds to get the specific world sharing you desire.
- If you used any previous build of Backpack prior to build 81, I would advise you that if you decide to use the world sharing feature, delete any world directory in your /backpacks/ directory that is now being shared. The existence of these now un-used files give troubles for the upgrade procedure under very specific circumstances.

Many thanks for your consideration.
Is there any way to setup this plugin to share to all worlds reguardless of worldname? I use Tardis's, and worlds can be added and removed often. I want backpacks to work globally.
@youri12
This was a planned feature for the future, but the devs got busy. So currently, no, not in game, but you can always look at the flatfiles in your plugins folder in the meantime.
can a admin look in the backpack from a player?
Hmm So Was i wrong in assuming giving the user the backpack.size.54 Would actually give them a backpack of that size? it seems it only allows them to upgrade to that.. I want to actually apply it.... :(
How does one say downgrade then say if a VIP was to no longer have VIP? I bet it would not downgrade :( FML
@Coldvision
Craft backpack? I think you're posting on the wrong plugin, my friend.
Hey guys I got a problem: I got a bukkit server with hamachi for me and 5 friends and we all installed the plugin manually and I installed it for the server but everytime someone of us tries to craft backpack it appears for a split second in the crafting menu and dissappears immediatly :(
@Hsflaxz
Dockter is very much still an active dev, but he's been one of, if not the, head dev for Spout for some time now, which is a growing challenge (especially with the release of 1.6 and thousands of new additions needed). He's been busy with that and him and his wife are also expecting their child soon, so he doesn't have much time to spare. I don't think this plugin is abandoned, and as long as it's working, aside from a few small bugs, I don't see them updating until other projects are finished.
@TheBlackBeltPanda
It's probably just the code isn't right for when the server is reloaded. Anywho, is this project going to be updated soon, or is it a bust?
@Chaznuts
Items already in their backpack. It seems to happen when the server restarts. It's only ever one or two items from one or two players.
Also, for the plugin author, can you add a backup command? I'm trying to get backups running for all my essential plugins as I've recently had a bad crash and most of my players lost a lot.
@TheBlackBeltPanda
Do you mean items already in their backpack disappearing? Or items being picked up not in either the backpack or the inventory, which I've noticed a few times but very rarely.
My players are complaining about losing items. Apparently every so often just one item will go missing in a player's backpack. Any idea what's happening?
@noyougirls
The only sizes available are the preset ones by 9s. This is because the "Backpack" is actually a portable Minecraft chest, so only full rows are compatible with the GUI. Hence why the sizes are between 9 (one row) and 54 (6 rows or double chest)
@AsiAticStaTiC
I'm using b129 for CB 1.4.7. It should still work fine, aside from a few bugs that were also present in MC 1.4.7.
Is it possible to set custom slot sizes or is 18,27,36,45 and 54 the only sizes?
Hey guys,
What build of the plugin are you guys currently using?
@firefireman7009
It needs minor fixes, but that's not because of 1.6, as they were there in 1.5 as well. 1.6 should work fine.
@firefireman7009
Yes, Most plugins dont have to be updated to 1.6.X
does this work with 1.6.2?
@der_Kernschatten
You're welcome. Enjoy!
@Chaznuts
Thanks for the reply. While I realize that I don't "list the main Overworld, as that is the initial world of the sharing", I did it because not doing it wasn't working. However, your reply helped me see the PEBKAC... I forgot a space in "Fresh Build" in the overworld name. It's working flawlessly now.
@ThoLav
Oh ok. Thought you needed something.
