AutoMessenger
This plugin was created to keep server auto-messages as simple as possible!
If you enjoy this plugin, feel free to click the button below. Doing this will allow me to continue development and support each build. Any amount is GREATLY appriciated, even if its $1...
How to use:
AutoMessenger creates 2 files inside of its plugin folder:
- AM.properties (a few options to change the announcement styles)
- Messages.txt (contains all your server messages)
How to add messages
- Creating messages is simple! Just open Messages.txt in your favorite text editor and add them in! Please note that each message is delimited by the line its on!
Configuration options
- secondsBetweenMessage (how many seconds you want AM to wait before announcing another message)
- prefix (The Prefix you would like to show before each message)
- randomizeMessages (Allows AM to pick a message at random and announce it at the given time interval. But will not display the same message twice in a row!)
Using Colors in Messages/Prefix
- Most colors are supported at this time, a list can be found below. A color can be added by using the name of the desired color and surrounding it in '< >' brackets. For example, for aqua, you would type '<aqua>'
Permissions
- am.allowReload - Allows a user to access the /am reload command
Commands
- /am reload - Reloads all messages in the Messages.txt file
Supported Colors
- <white>
- <black>
- <blue>
- <green>
- <dark_green>
- <aqua>
- <dark_aqua>
- <gold>
- <gray>
- <dark_gray>
- <light_purple>
- <dark_purple>
- <red>
- <dark_red>
- <yellow>
@blackburn29
You should update it to R0.2. And what for code you use. Becuz its sends only 1 time the list. Fix this please. And please can i use your "IDEA" for this plugin. Iam working on an all in messenger. With an AutoMessenger.
Please make it so you can use the commands in-game!
Can you add an option to separate lines?
Im using Spigot 1.7.2 with this and it works!
I can see the messages but the people that aren't op cannot see them! HALP
Hi, I want it to be readable just when you login to the server, how do I do that?
On my server it only broadcasts the list once. Then it's done. No more messages!
Can i make a link clickable with automessenger?
Tested with latest builds and is still working. Updated the files page to latest version as well!
Will this be updated for 1.3?
@Delocaz
Add messages to the messages.txt that is generated once you run the JAR. It'll automatically start displaying them after a server reload. (Or if you wait like an hour from now from this post, a new version will be released to reload messages)
I use this on my server and it works great! Lightweight and does what it's supposed to. Thanks. :) Would love a /am reload command to reload the messages.txt though.
How do you enable it? It kinda doesn't work.
@Kiwz
Ill add the command and release a new version!
I searched for a simple auto message plugin, and this seems simple enough, actually a little to simple :P
There is two things I miss here and that would be a reload command to just reload the Message.txt file (or both if you think that would be easier) and plz, dont let it send theese messages to the console (cold be a config though).
Example of a reload command: /am reload
