This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
Development on this plugin has stopped, and all further development is on the much better GUI Creator
@Darkhand81
The current Spout won't be updated much in the future (as they are moving to a different model) so the addon is sort of an intermediary to test the waters.
I do however much prefer the config and design of the addon so I will be making a new project using those techniques which I'm sure will very quickly replace Admin GUI.
Thanks so much for looking into the permissions issues! Appreciate the work you do!
Is the Spout Addon project separate from AdminGUI, or are you planning on dropping AdminGUI? I hope it's not the latter! Having the server provide a menu full of options for all the particular plugins on it has been a huge benefit for my playerbase.
One of the most important Spout-related plugins to date!! Thanks again!
Is anyone else having trouble with PEX? It's working perfectly fine with PermissionsBukkit but PEX 1.18 seems to be ignoring Admin_GUI.can_reload and Admin_GUI.can_open_GUI. Custom screen permissions work perfectly fine, as well as all other permissions so I don't think it's a configuration problem.
@GrnEyedDvl
3 - When you press the Esc key and see the menu, you're seeing Spoutcraft's API, but when you open Admin GUI, you're using the Spout API. They're pretty similar but because Spoutcraft is client-side there is a lot more it can do.
I started porting this to Spoutcraft last night and it went pretty smoothly. In a couple of days I should have release of it out and we can see if helps anything. :)
1. It is something in the plugin. When you have a command that has only 1 param, the button is on the left, and the text box takes up the other 3 slots. In this case, you can enter a long string even if it is longer than the box. When the command has 2 params, the button is on the left, and the text boxes split the rest. In this case, you cannot enter a long string, it wont enter past 22 even if there is room in the box.
2. Cool. I would suggest clearing the %player% entries when a command is run or when menu opens. Then when someone clicks player name, it checks to see if %player1% is an empty string, if so assign name to %player1%. If string is not empty assign to %player2%. Empty both strings every time a command is run. That is how I would handle it in .NET at least.
3. It may be part of Spout, but if I hit the Esc key and the default Spout buttons come up, they look different even with the same text color. It may be a function of the size since the buttons are a bit taller in your plugin. Maybe defining button sizes for each possibility (auto, normal, etc) would help solve that.
With the API I figured you would be waiting for changes, most people are which I totally understand. If I had time to take on more coding projects I would jump into java, sadly I do not.
If you want to see my config files or test on my MP server shoot me a PM and I will let you in. I have a pretty extensive menu up and running now and it will only get bigger as time goes on.
@GrnEyedDvl
Sadly, a couple of your points I have no control over.
1 - It's a Spoutcraft limitation. The limit is set to 100 but the text area doesn't scroll when the text gets to the end of the box.
2 - Difficult to do but I could have a look.
3 - There's no way (as far as I know) to adjust the shadow; it's the default Spout rendering.
4 - That is one of the things planned for the future.
5 - Should be possible to do.
6 - should do, it's standard XML.
Currently, this plugin is treading water while I'm waiting for the SpoutcraftAPI to stabilise. Once that's done it can be rewritten as an addon which will allow far more features to be added.

@Koiraman I'm nothing to do with the Spout team. Usually your problem can be solved by deleting the .spoutcraft folder and installing it again.
Remember that there is no stable Spoutcraft build for Minecraft 1.2.3 yet.
Spoutcraft wont start. i see only White screen.
The much-improved successor to Admin GU is here!
You can find it here and a download link is here
Make sure to read the tutorial carefully please!
@pacothegint The name of the file doesn't matter. If the screen has no label element it will be taken from the file name.
One question when we make new screen does it matter what we name it ?

@coldandtired
I got it to work and I am using Group Manager thanks though turns out it was spout messing up.
@pacothegint Have you given yourself the correct permission?
Whenever i press ~ it doesn't load. Any suggestions.

Thanks!
For anyone interested, I ported Admin GUI to a Spoutcraft addon.
It can be found here, but make sure to read the post as it's not fully functional yet.
I will be adding as many of the improvements back to Admin GUI over the next few days.
@Darkhand81 Every permissions complaint I've ever heard involves PermissionsEx :(
In the code, the only check I have is for Permissions3x; everything else defaults to SuperPerms.
The only explanation is that PEX doesn't follow the standard properly.
I'll have a look anyway and see if there's a workaround.
@Darkhand81
Yes, I am also experiencing problems with PermissionsEx. Even players with
can open it.

@Taketheword It's a bug in SpoutEssentials which I'm waiting for the author to fix. See here for the ticket.

This is GODLY material here! If your not using this on your server, you are crazy!
But.. how can I remove the constant "Unknown Command." spam whenever I press any button on the GUI?
Hiya Cold,
Thanks for the response.
