Makes players chop the entire tree log by log, from top to bottom!
I fully support the other plugins that do this, but some of them are outdated, have horrible tree detection, or they just let players dig the whole tree in one chop. Even when they remove the correct durability, this still is a bit of an unfair advantage because it then only takes 1 second to break a whole tree!
So I've tried to make this plugin work perfectly in every way: players will spend approximately the same time, the same durability and will get the same drop.
TreeAid
Summary
When players chop a tree, this plugin will make them chop the highest log first.

- Configuration file
- You can send a message to players when they start chopping down a tree, even including the number of logs left in that tree!

Metrics
This plugin uses MCStats to collect information about plugin usage. Of course, this is strictly anonymous, and you can easily opt out via plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml. The NSA isn't watching your server ;) You can of course see for yourself what data is collected on the MCStats site, just the basic stuff: how many servers, how many players, which Bukkit version, etc.
great plugin!! Can you add acacia?
Thanks!
@MoarPizzaPls
Did you find the source code in a public repo somewhere, or did you just yank it from the JAR?
I fixed the plugin for 1.8 but I am not sure if I can release it because of the license. The creator hasn't logged in for a year so I won't be able to get a permission either.
Ok, treeaid is the best idea what i could see for manage the tree since bukkit is born.
That too bad, no enough manage to keep it on a production server.
I have made a comment, a ticket, about bugs, but no answer.
I throw a look from time to time, good luck.
New trees ! new trees !
Thanks for this excellent plugin :)
Problem with all 2x2 tree :( even if i disable it in config file

Can you fix it in the next update? Will be awesome.
@elkidz
NoCheat could be blocking the plugin!
I have the same problem. In the group ''admin'' the plugin works perfectly, but in the group default does not work! I have treeaid,use with GroupManager. And I use CoreProtect and NoCheatPlus.
@Muizers
Can you add the messages for when cutting down a tree yet? ;)
@olgnet
I'll make a fix for it.
But you'll have to remember: EITHER logging plugins OR NoCheat works. They can't work with TreeAid at the same time. This is mathematically impossible, the way handling events works.
Yes, it was blockbreak check in NoCheatPlus =( You can fix it?
@olgnet
I don't have experience with PermissionsEX, so I'm gonna have to assume that's correct :P
But maybe there's another plugin cancelling it? My plugin totally checks the permission in the right way, and after ten tests in different setups, I'm sure of that.
The only reasons are that another plugin cancels it (NoCheat?), that the block you're breaking is not a log :P or that you're in creative mode...
@Muizers
No! I use PermissionsEX... Example
In the group "admin" all works, but in the group "user" does not work!
@olgnet
Permission "treeaid.*" does not exist. You probably made a typo? It works for me, strange enough.
@Muizers
I tried ... Works only with '*' permission ... Permission 'treeaid.use' does not work
