Tree Feller
Tree Feller v1.2
Last updated January 8, 2014
General
TreeFeller is a plugin that allows you to harvest trees at a much faster rate. It allows you to break the bottom most block of a tree which will "fell" the tree. It has multiple modes allowing for simple tree trunk felling all the way to destroying an entire forest.
Usage
You can chop an entire tree down by sneaking / standing (depending on your config) and using an axe (or any item you choose to put in the config) to cut the lowest block the tree.
This plugin supports mode switching. For example, if you have the permissions
treefeller.use treefeller.mode.full
It will default to classic, but you can switch your mode with commands. Check out the commands for more info.

Future Update
- Log blocks with logblock
Does this plugin work on 1.8.8?
Update to 1.8.3?
This has worldguard protection right?
@qaz7731207
Yeah, it works just fine with 1.7.2 - 1.7.9
1.7.2 ok?
@PennyNyx
I'm not supporting Spigot 1.7.9.
I tested it in bukkit 1.7.9 and it worked just fine.
Just in case the error isn't related to Spigot though, what are the errors it's outputting?
We're using Spigot 1.7.9, and Tree Feller's throwing up errors left right and centre. And appears to be working intermittently. Anyone else having similar issues?
@cooltrain7
durability-mode is suppose to be true or false.
If it's set to true, your tool will take 1 damage per block. If it's set to false, it will take 1 damage per hit (no matter how many blocks were broken in that 1 hit).
I need to change this because it's not very configurable and the wording is confusing.
Can someone help me with a config problem Ive got, Ive set the durability to 1 so that each block chopped takes it down but its not working, any idea's ?
Any idea's why these setting are not working ?
does this work for 1.7.5? i cant seem to get it to work even with permissions added
Works like a charm now. ;)
However, found a small problem with Acacia trees: since this type produces trees where the logs are not always adjacent but placed diagonally with one gap horizontally and one gap vertically these trees are not always cut down with one axe swing and the upper part is left over.
Not a major issue since all the other tree types seem to work great.
@FlukiestEmperor
Ah, that's great! Thanks a lot for your quick response and your great work!

To answer both your questions, I have enabled mode switching. It defaults to classic when you log in.
The command for this is
Replace <mode> with one of the following
classic
fullnoleaves
classicleaves
full
@frankmiaw
This works on any minecraft 1.7 version. While 1.7.4 is the latest Minecraft version, it is only a client update. Every plugin for 1.7.2 will work with 1.7.4 and vice versa. I just decided to say it works with the latest minecraft version. In general, the version it says it works with doesn't mean much. You'll find plenty of old plugins around Bukkit that say they work with something like 1.4, but still work with 1.7.
Edit: I finally got around to adding the mode switching info to the main page.
Hi,
I don't get mode 'full' to work. It only cuts all logs vertically in a straight line but doesn't cut any logs or leaves attached to the sides.
I am using PermissionEx and have defined following permissions:
users:
maystorm:
permissions:
- treefeller.use
- treefeller.mode.full
Furthermore I added the ID's for Acacia and Dark Oak as follows in config.yml (in addition to the default ones):
logs:
- '162:0'
- '162:4'
- '162:8'
- '162:1'
- '162:5'
- '162:9'
leaves:
- '161:8'
- '161:9'
I'd think that with these settings a tree can be brought down with a single axe swing. However, as said above, only one line of vertical logs are cut down, no sideway logs and no leaves at all.
Any idea what I am missing?
TIA!
@SilverKytten
how is this for 1.7.4 if bukkit haven't yet post a server compatible with it? i think...?
@frankmiaw
This is for 1.7.4 - It's possible that the plugin just isn't compatible with 1.7.2. It shouldn't have any problems with any of those plugins.
Hi, It doesn't work on my bukkit server 1.7.2, i have these other plugins maybe it's not compatible with them. i have Esenntials, Worldedit & Worldguard and Authme. i don't think it's not compatible really. just asking because that's the only reason i can think why it's not working. p/s, sorry for my english :/
Hello,
how can I disable classic no leaves mode (which is enabled by default) and enable mode classic with leaves? I want that only mode with full leaves is enabled (no without)
thanks in advance
@TacoGerbil
No it's not limited to vanilla blocks. Did you by chance write the block id as just "17" instead of something like "17:4", 17 being the id, 4 being the damage value? This plugins requires both the id and damage value to work properly.
@TimberlakeLin
Are you asking what the log ids are for 1.7?
I keep getting an java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1 error whenever I enter log ID's from additional trees.. Is this limited to Vanilla Trees? I was trying to put some in from BiomesAPlenty..
