ServerMessage
ServerMessage2 - An Uber Configurable Auto-Broadcast plugin
Version 2 Release - Now compatible with Minecraft 1.5.2!
Thanks for over 4000 downloads!
What is ServerMessage?
ServerMessage allows you to input your own custom message into the config file (example: Welcome to our Server!) and repeats the message according to the custom lapse time in the config to all players in your server! With color support, permission support, different message groups and more, ServerMessage2 is by far the most advanced auto-broadcast plugin on Bukkit!
For example, if your MSG was in Group1 and had the text "Welcome to our server!", your custom Prefix was "<INFO>" and your lapse time was 30 seconds, ServerMessage would broadcast "<INFO> Welcome to our server!" every 30 seconds to everyone that had the permission ServerMessage.group1!
Wait, there's more! With the brand spanking new 2.0 release, ServerMessage is now compatible with all permissions plugins! Configure which players or permission groups can see each group of messages right from the config file or your permissions plugin! Want donators and Admins to see different broadcast than builders? No problem!
NEW: Along with a ton of other awesome features included with ServerMessage2, ServerMessage now broadcasts the messages in each group randomly, your players will never get bored of seeing the same messages in the same order!
Highlighted Features:
- Customize your own message!
- Change your messages in any group using simple commands! Click here for command info!
- Set the time between repeating your message!
- Set your message's own prefix! (example: <INFO>)
- Compatible with all permission plugins! Set which group(s) each message is broadcasted to!
- Supports COLORS! Make your broadcasts all nice and colorful!
- Super lightweight with a pain free installation!

Sorry for not updating guys. I've read all your suggestions and bug reports and will be making a completely new, revamped version of ServerMessage in the next few days!
Delay in seconds or ticks?
yeah whenever i change something in the config file and i save it it reverts back to what it was when i reload the plugin. Um help?
Everything seems to be working, but no messages are being displayed. Everything in the logs looks enabled. I can't get it to work... I'm using 1.5.2-R1.0. I renamed the groups, for example I have a group called Player with servermessage.Player permissions. I can use the /servermessage and /setbroadcast commands and they update the config.yml. I did notice that when I renamed the groups that came default, they came back at the bottom of the yml file looking like group1: {} group2: {} group3: {} Any help would be appreciated.
Can only get a total of 5 messages across all groups. Can't even do 5 in group1 and 1 in group2.
Need many more messages per group.
Also, if someone is permitted to see 2 groups, the messages from both groups appear at the same time. Need to randomly override one group so you don't get 2 messages at the same time.
Thanks!

You have to use Java 7 on your server for this plugin to work.
Looks like a great plugin and one I have been looking for, but I get errors when I try to load it. I am using Bukkit 1.5.2-R0.1
UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/github/seplugins/servermessage/ServerMessage : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
This plugin looks great. I think that part that I really like is that you can broadcast to different groups saying different things which is something that hasn't been impossible to do but a bit hard.
@jakgon
Thanks for the feedback ;)
Oh, this plugin is so useful
@rocky1921
Yeah, it is. I'll be updating it soon anyway, but it will work as is now.
Hey, do you happen to know if this plugin is compatible with new CraftBukkit Beta Build (1.5.2-R0.1)?
@SirGroovy
Hi! This plugin isn't meant for that kind of thing. What you are looking for is a greeting message plugin of some sort. Or if you have essentials you can use /motd that will send a message to every player when they log in.
Hi WTFOwen,
is it possible to use this Plugin without the use of permissions or groups? i want to send a simple message to every user at login time which don't has to be repeated.
THX for Help

Hi, sorry for the huge delay on a response but I've been inactive on this plugin. I will be working on a update today along with some other cool features! Should solve your error as well.
Hi it looks great !
...but nothing hapens :(
I'm on Bukkit 1.3.2 but it says "ServerMessage V 2.0 Plugin Enabled!" so it looks like there's no compatibility problem.
I use PEX like this :
base:
inheritance:
- visiteur
permissions:
- ServerMessage.msg1
baseW:
inheritance:
- base
permissions:
- ServerMessage.msg2
but neither group base nor group baseW recieves any message...
I use essentials.motd too... could it be the reason ?
I would like to use your plug to warn some players only on login so I would use msg1 for everyone in group base and put some players in group baseW so they get warned...
Is that correct ?
Thanks for answering.
Just updated ServerMessage to version 2.0! Support for minecraft 1.4.2, permissions compatibility, up to 15 custom messages, and more!! Just uploaded it so waiting for the approval of the download....
