@ZariusT
Well not sure what is causing it, or how it happens, but occasionally the vote seems to lock up and stop any more happening even though it has finished. Only way to "unlock" it is to reboot the server. If you want a ticket created let me know. Also am running it on Bukkit 1.7.2 R0.2 Beta
Still here. Haven't been actively developing for a while but let me know if something doesn't work properly. I do have some work started for an improved version to allow more flexible voting but not sure yet when I'll finish that.
I am wondering if this is still being developed. I know that it still works with 1.7.2 at this stage, but it would be good to know if it was still being worked on.
@Androkai
Actually, whilst I did change the permissions code to support the newer permissions the plugin should currently function the same if you have "use-permissions" set to no in the config (which is to say it defaults to the "voteStarters.conf" file).
I will be revamping this for the next version however and as per virtually all modern plugins it will require permissions to be set before players can vote ("use-permissions" will be set to true by default). I will keep voteStarters.conf support for anyone currently using it.
@Androkai
Permissions are no longer optional - the "use-permissions" config item is from a time before Bukkit had permissions builtin & I've now removed that config setting (might not have removed it from the default config that gets created).
I do need to update the documentation here though, sorry about that - will look into it tonight.
Delete LightVote-folder and restart server to get new config but now nobody of my players can start or join voting, only me with op and '*'-perms. Use-permissions is set to no.
@Androkai
Nevermind, I found the problem with /vote and will fix in next version. Would be great to get a translation to German, hold off though as there will be a lot of changes in the next version - most of the messages will stay the same but some could change.
@ZariusT
Thx for information, sounds good.
Edit aout /vote: Nothing more information with debug = true and also can't find any other plugin which use it :|
I'm thinking of removing the separate "voteStarters.conf" file - does anybody actually use that instead of permissions?
@DjBuRnOuTQc
Thanks :)
@Androkai
Thanks for the feedback.
[INFO] Androkai issued server command: /vote
That's it, sorry for many things :)
weather votes are amazing! thanks a lot!
@IamChaoz
perma-offset has been included in the config file with the new version (1.9) - when it's approved try it out to get permanent day (not tested yet).
@hibernating_bear
New version with "/lvt sun" and some other improvements has been uploaded now - just need to wait for file approval.
Its been a week or so, any news on the sun votes?
@IamChaoz
e There's supposed to be a permaoffset setting but doesn't look like it's being read from the config file properly, will look into that.
Hey Zarius how would I go about making it permaday?
@ZariusT
I am more than happy to run it as a test if you want see how it goes. drop me a PM if you would like this
@C0nsoleMC
Thanks, glad you like it. If you have any ideas for improving the documentation send me a PM - would appreciate the assistance :)
@hibernating_bear
Cool, vote for sun is implemented so I might just release a version with that first (if I don't get carried away :D) then add vote for storm/thunder later.
@ZariusT
Just Rain, Sun, Storm/Thunder really. The main reason behind wanting this is i don't want to disable the weather from my server, but people complain when its raining too much so the ability to have votes to change it to sun, rain or storm/thunder would be great. Would put this plugin up there as a really useful one.
