Knapsack (backpack)
( backpack ) Knapsacks
Knapsacks are backpacks on steroids for MineCraft. Injected with a ton of options for both players and server owners, Knapsacks should prove to be a valuable asset to any MineCraft server.
Description
Knapsacks allow players to craft & give themselves and other players additional inventory slots. Knapsacks is packed with options for the player as well as for server owners and operators. Among those are the infamous Auto-Filling. Auto filling allows player to control what items get stored in their Knapsacks and when. Depending on how Knapsacks is configured, players will be able to keep items organized in Knapsacks Auto-Fills. Players have,for the most part, complete control on when items are filled to a Knapsack both before and after their inventory is full!
Another under-rated feature is the Knapsack expiry system. This system was built with the server owners in mind to stop the abuse of Knapsacks (crafting excessive packs, giving, dropping, etc..). Optionally, server owners can set limits on how many of a specific size Knapsack each player can have at any given point as well as an overall setting of all Knapsack sizes a player has.
Knapsacks is exactly what the name states, a Backpack on steroids! Jammed with many, many more options and more still coming

Care to help keep Knapsacks alive! I could use a new coffee maker!!
I wish we could get the source released for this, since the creator of it has not been active since 2015 :( This is the only plugin that my kids server cannot live without, once you've used Knapsacks, you cannot use any others, because this is the best. Being able to right click the item in inventory, no keys, and world restrictions, it tops them all! And if you are running a survival server, makes it easy to change the skins on the eggs, so they do look like bags. Nothing even comes close to this.
I desperately want that 1.9 support, but would simply be floored if it got higher support. All other plugins in use on the server (onoitsu2.com a very small server for my kids and friends) would work on 1.9 with some minor issues overall, but without this, not going from `1.8.8, it seems, so no shields for them.
-Onoitsu2
Are there plans to update this plugin for the new Versions?
In the moment I try to recompile the plugin for myself and got the latest Knapsacks.jar at least to load with minecraft 1.11.2, but Crafted Knapsacks are not usable.
This is the console with debug off:
This is the console with debug on:
When I use the /ks give command, the give-command-created Knapsacks work perfectly fine.
Best Plugin ever! Please update for spigot 1.10.2....
I think I am going with Player vaults from spigot, I don't want to, but since there isn't any action on this :(
i haven't found a single working backpack plugin for 1.9 yet, they all seem to be dead. mine packs is the only thing i found that works on 1.9 but its not very good. 8( it only has a single pack that is command based and no in game item. just a player based pack opened with a command. some one needs to get on the ball! lol
+1 for Cricket's request (and ticket). If you're unable to do this, could you possibly consider making the source available so we can update ourselves? At this time, Knapsacks are the only plugin on our server preventing us upgrading to 1.9 and our users will be very frustrated if we have to remove the plugin.
Thanks!

Please update to 1.9 - knapsacks will not load :(
Great plugin, thanks!
Hi,
We have a problem where if somebody changes their username they are unable to access their Knapsacks any more. Each time they try, this error gets printed to the console: http://pastebin.com/8HANfKr0
Would you be able to advise how we can work around this? (running v1.0.28).
Many thanks.
I want Knapsacks for SSP - or at least something very similar.
inlcuding Knapception - Knapsacks inside Knapsacks
Is it possible to make a public knapsack that can be thrown, and can be opened by anyone?
How do you stop the knapsack tables and task messages from showing on the console?
I thought you said there will be a new update after 6 July for 1.8.7? I'm running 1.8.8 Spigot but this doesn't give me anything else then errors.
I seem to be having a problem where when players place their knapsacks into a chest they cannot take it out.
@PigPaint
Unfortunately, I'm see away and will not be able to get you a new build until week of July 6th. I do realize 1.8.5 up to and including 1.8.7 have changed a few things, especially the Spigot builds and a new build is potentially required but not necessarily as Knapsacks uses base methods and nothing Spigot changes should affect the plugin. However it's possible that some inventory methods as well as vault changes will cause some things to change requiring the new build.
Can you tell me what is happening that it's not working for you on 1.8.7. If you can, create a ticket with your server start up log and brief details of the issue.
Hi zrocweb, my players really want this plugin but I can't seem to install it on my 1.8.7 spigot server. Help would be very much appreciated. Skype: cooper_t1nybubba Email: [email protected]
@lukenthrip
Which parts are you having trouble with? I'll try to help you as much as possible. But Skyping right now for me is not really an option as I would have to via my phone and it won't be very good as I'm not home.
Rather than clogging up the forum here, just pm me and we can work through it.
Basic things you will want to do based on what I know you told me so far:
Now for creating your Interface for selling and buying items. This is actually very simple:
That's pretty much it. Its' really not that difficult. The reading of it explains a lot and therefore some people thing it's confusing when in fact it's actually quite simple, especially once you do it one or two times.
The projects "FAQ" page is quite handy as well. Access it here. It covers everything I briefly explained above, but with more in-depth questions and answers.
Also, you can watch this video as well that Flowdude and I made (was my first video, so don't judge, please. video is here
Happy to help ya if you need more. PM me your server info and if I can I'll log in and help ya out!
@zrocweb
This is kind of complicated, I will try to get it myself eventually; but I'd appreciate it a lot if you would assist me.

@lukenthrip
Keep reading the project pages bro. Everything you want is there and is compatible. Knapsack Auto-Fill and Knapsack Interface is what you are specifically look at for / at that will allow you to auto-fill to player knapsacks and then when your auto-sell signs are created, you need to create a Knapsack Interface link to that sign as well when then when right click with a Knapsack in-hand by a player or via knapsack commands, can be sold directly from and/or bought directly from/to knapsacks.
