Item Switcher
Auto switching held item as needed.
Mining
Switches between axe, pickaxe and shovel depending on what block you are trying to mine.
Building
As of version 0.1.4 when the currently held stack runs out, will search your inventory to find another stack of the same block type to switch to.
Usage
Run the command /switcher
to toggle item switching on and off. When switching is enabled
and you have a tool in hand you will be able to mine and build without the need to manually switch
between items in your inventory.
Run /switcher
from the console or /switcher list
in game to see a list of players currently using
item switching.
Permissions
The itemswitcher.switcher
permission gives you access to /switcher
command to turn item switching on.

In case anyone is looking for such functionality client-side, I made one!
Will it work on 1.10.2?
hi,
the vid is set to privat mode ;)
This is really cool thanks for the plugin :D
@krockode
Do you think you can add a permission for toggle on by default instead of the permission for use the command?
Yes. There actually haven't needed to be any code changes to this plugin for a very long time. This plugin just needs to be updated every now and then to handle new block types.
@madtomic
Yes
This work on cb1.7.2-r0.3?
@fungreenfox
There shouldn't need to be any changes made for this plugin to work with a newer version of bukkit, but I will test it. The only change will be to update the list of new blocks and what tool should be used with them, I will be doing this soon as it hasn't been done since 1.3 when emeralds were added (which will include fixing fences as per ticket 2).
Will this be updated for bukkit 2.5.2?
@marubal21 it shouldn't be a problem, only really need to add comparability for new block when they are added. I will be testing beta version s of bukkit for 1.4 anyway to make sure.
Will this plugin be updated for Minecraft 1.4, does it need to be updated?
@krockode:
@krockode
That worked great. Thanks for the quick reply!
@marubal21 block switching and tool switching are both enabled with the /switcher command.
@krockode
do i need to activate the "block switching" or is it on by default?
@arkan01d By default only ops have the permission (maybe I will change this). Add itemswitcher.switcher to the list of default permissions to give this to everyone, here is an example permissions.yml file (found in the root of the bukkit directory):
@marubal21 It means the building item switching. For example if you have a couple stacks of cobblestone, it will automatically switch the second stack into your hand when you place the last block of the first stack. updating changelog to make it more clear...
what does "Added block switching when stack in hand runs out" mean?
Only my Op's can use item switcher. Other players are getting the following msg: you don't have item switcher.switcher
Sorry if this is easy to fix, I'm a n00b
@Grilor that sounds strange. I usually dig down to bedrock when testing but will do a bit more digging to see if I can find what's going on.
having a small issue. Sometimes you will be digin along and all of a sudden you cant go any futher you woudl hit like a wall as if you were getting server lag bounce back. but if you turn off switcher everything is fine and turn it back on and it works again for a while and then acts up again. just weird
