HideNames
What it does
Basically, all it does is hide players names from above their heads. This could be useful for PvP servers, RP servers, etc.
Usage
- Install and restart.
Permissions
- hidenames.reload
- hidenames.bypass
- hidenames.showname
Requirements
- Spout
- (Optional) Spoutcraft for clients to see player skins.
Features
- Permissions support
- NPC support
- Multi-world support
Note: I do not plan much more development on this, however this may change depending on how many people begin to use this plugin.
Does anyone know if this still works in 1.15? I can't test it right now because my server isn't working, and I can't get anyone else to join until I fix it
EDIT: Nvm, I didn't realize this needed spout.
Also I noticed that if i use the Fakemob Plugin the fakemob names still appear over the heads, something you might want to look into :)
I would love it if there was the ability to hide certain playernames, for example player1's name was visible but player2's name was hidden
@KevinEssence
yeah, that woul be very nice!
yes, plz update it, thx :)

Please Update! This is awesome!
Hey I am making a server that makes everything like real life. UPDATE PLEASE!!!!! I use spout so i dont care if it requires spout. I LOVE THIS PLUGIN!!!!
@KevinEssence
Thats just crazy talk.
Can you make this not require spout?
Can you make a command for OP's to turn it on and off?
And make the nameplate visible only to other group members?
Thanks, great job! :D
Isn't working whit java 1.6.0_30
@tsuna25
Just use F1, unless you actually want the GUI. which you can add in a editing program
@tsuna25
Are you referring to disabling Spoutcraft clients receiving player skins?
Can you add an option to disable the skin,because I'm making a movie with this...
@Vilghost
Sorry, but HideNames uses the packet listener provided by SpoutPlugin. To remove the SpoutPlugin dependency, that would require HideNames to create its own packet listener which would make it incompatible with SpoutPlugin and other plugins which create packet listeners.
Can you a version without spout ?
Most people having a problem with java 7 are using java 6 build 20 from what i have seen. it is also what i am using.
@CrusnikCore What version of Java are you using? Are you using the latest version of HideNames?
Still can't get it to work. I'm using craftbukkit-1.2.5-R4.0-MCPC-SNAPSHOT-126 for the server and the spoutplugin #1234 and I keep getting this error: http://pastebin.com/Pw5Kp9gP
@oceanor
Updated. Should work for Java 6 users now.
