FancyText
FancyText v 1.2.1
Description: If you are like me, you jumped on the minecraft wiki to see the new update. You couldn't believe your eyes when you saw bold, underlined, italicized, and strikethrough text!! But wait.. it said that you cannot do this on vanilla client ;(. So, I took the initiative to bring everyone a plugin working with 1.2.4 to allow you to talk in bold underlined italicized and [S]strikethrough[/S] text! Now, with v 1.2, you can format text on signs, and to make it even beter, you can get players to click links through signs and buttons!!
( How do I do this? It's simple really, you put an & and then the color code you want to use. Color codes stack, so you can have bold green text. To reset all of these styles you do &r. &0 - Black
&1 - Navy Blue
&2 - Dark Green
&3 - Dark Teal
&4 - Dark Red (maroon)
&5 - Purple
&6 - Gold
&7 - Gray
&8 - Dark Gray
&9 - Blue
&a - Green
&b - Aqua
&c - Red
&d - Pink
&e - Yellow
&f - White
&l - Bold
&m - Strikethrough
&n - Underline
&o - Italicize
&r - Reset (this will remove all color bold etc) Note: These colors are the same for signs!
Links?: So what do I mean by send players links? When a player right clicks a sign that you have set, it will send them a message that you have configured. This can be found in the config.yml. All you have to do is enter a simple command, /setsignlink , and then right click the sign you want the player to click, and boom it will setup! All of the signs are found in the config :). The sign can have ANY text on it, and you can remove the sign without removing the link. If you want to setup a different link, you just enter the same command again and right click! Simple! Then the player right clicks the sign, and it sends them the message you have configured NOTE: Use %l for link in the config.yml. The same method goes for using buttons :). PLEASE NOTE: If you want your link to be underlined, you must put a space between the &n and the link!
Commands:
Quote:/setsignlink - This sets the link for the sign that you right click :).
/editsign <line> - Allows you to edit a line on a sign (incase you messup ;)).
/smotd <motd> - Set the MOTD for your server ingame... with COLORS!
Permissions:
Quote:FancyText.use - Allow a person to use FancyText. FancyText.setlink - Allow a person to set a link on a sign.
@dillyg10 can you add permissions per color?
This plugin is realy nice and it will be super nice if you add permissions per colors. :D
&1 It´s nice realy
This is useless plugin if you have essentials. You can get colours by enabling: enabledSigns: - color <
remove # u get colour signs (bold/underline etc)This is really annoying plugin. Motd will stay in 1 line only not 2 as you can. Then motd from server won't work. It's useless make it 2 lines supported and function to enable/disable motd!
Update for 1.7.2 please!
The /smotd Command don't works in my server and it don't say's anything like the command don't exist or that i wrote it false.
Can u Please Please Please Make it so i have an option to not use the plugin MOTD cuz i dont want to change my motd in this plugin i like to change it in my server.properties .. for example make it in the config ...
MOTD : Active: True Message: "This IS MOTD"
Thanks
I noticed there's no permissions for the commands. I presume you need to be OP to use those commands? If not, I wouldn't like the idea of anyone being able to change the motd, or being able to edit anyone's signs anytime and anywhere.
update

1st video does not exist!
Added new version 1.6:
Adds:
- new command! /editsign <line> - Edit a line on a sign.
- new command! /smotd <motd> - Edit the MOTD ingame (supports colors!).
Fixes:
- & causing it to say null.
Is it possible to use this plugin to have coloured signs but not allow players to change the chat colours?
Can you make it so that if an ampersand isn't followed by a valid colour code, it will default to just the ampersand rather than 'null'?
this plugin run on my server since Juli 2012 and is very nice...
I need for better Working a command tath remove the Link from Sign or reload function... i dont want evryday delete my config for new link on a sign
Any chance of adding a permission: FancyText.use.decoration to allow / deny bold, &k, etc. whilst still allowing / denying regular colours?
Nice plugin, everything works. The only thing I'd add is either a command to remove links from signs or that links get removed when signs get destroyed.
I think there is a bug with essenitals with this plugin, the permission from essentials to let players type colored chat doesen't work anymore with this plugin installed.
