BorderGuard
BorderGuard - Since 2011!
Version: v5.0.0 (coming soon)
... The following description is presently being revamped.
This plugin prevents people from exploring beyond a defined border. This plugin checks for all movement, including vehicle movement, and will keep you within the border even if you remain within a vehicle.

To set an invisible border: /setborder <distance> <square|round> - Set the border, and the distance of the border from your current point. Optionally, also specify if the border is to be square or round.
To disable the border: /disableborder - Remove the border.
-
Only the person who first uses the /setborder command can use it again, or remove the border.
The plugin has multi-world support. When setting a border, you're only setting the border for the world you're presently situated in. You'll need to set a border for each separate world.

Version History: V4.11 - Changed getDisplayName() checks to getName(). V4.10 - Major performance enhancements. Using version 4 is highly discouraged. V4.00 - Modified to work with the latest craftbukkit version (953). Older versions no longer work.
V3.10 - Removed the multi-threading, was causing accuracy issues. V3.00 - BorderGuard Turbo! Now works with bukkit 670, and has completely overhauled the base BorderGuard "engine", resulting in a huge performance boost. V2.40 - Updated to work with the latest version of bukkit. (602) V2.30 - Resolved multi-world issues. Now properly handles multiple worlds. V2.20 - Updated to work with the latest version of bukkit. Existing configuration files will no longer work. (Borders must be re-defined). V2.10 - Updated to work with the latest version of bukkit. Fixed movement issues with the "round" version. V2.00 - Multi-world support, better teleporting, no duplicate warning messages, configuration file now within folder. V1.00 - Released plugin.
Notes: 1. Using, for example, "/setborder 5", will set the border 5 blocks away from the location you are standing. This would create a border that is 10x10 in size. v. 5.0 is coming soon..? 4.31 is the actual one.. since a long time. Does it work with CB 1.7.2 R.03 ?
or it BorderGuard dead?
My players have discovered that you can cross the border on a horse. You'll get spammed with the 'you have reached the border' message. But you're allowed to keep on going.
The moment you move after getting off of the horse when you have passed the border you get kicked back.
It's not that big of an issue. Since players will be punished for crossing the border with losing their horse. But I thought you'd like to know.
1.5.2 work? Ok it will be enought for me :) I need that simple and fast plugin for my 7 worlds server.
How from left or right. It measure distance from center to each direction, eg. to left 2000, to right 2000 etc. You can choose square or round. Works well with multiword - for each can be custom.
Autor not do more update and other people ask about similar working plugin, so I help: WorldBorder
Possibility to make it so that all mobs can't cross the border too? Such as pets.
@frol1
Yes
Does this still work?
Hello, we have been using borderguard on our server, but we have noticed a major issue: you can pass the borders when riding a horse, just like that. Is this going to be addressed in a coming update or fix? Thanks in advance.
suggestion, add a "/bg add X" and a "/bg sub X" where it goes by the center of the borders with the abillity to use it in console via command. i would love to have this.
reason for idea: for every registered member on server, the console will automatically add border size to accommodate. The subtract would be for other cases
:) Never would have guessed to try that! Nows when we see if intelli is maintaining the plugin as I suspect.
as of 1.6.1 riding on horses will let you bypass the border.
Does anyone remember if the distance if measured from left to right or from left to center?
Nevermind, I'm assuming it's from left to center.
On a side note, apparently one of my staff members have reported that borders can be bypassed by riding a horse.
I believe the plugin is not abandoned. Intelli uses it for his server still most likley as it is still running. He even provided a download link that is not on bukkitdev so that is likley the up to date jar.
ill bring it back to life! it will be fun!
works still with 1.5.2 R.0.1 - nice plugin!
are there others for the future.. because it´s dead :´(
Julia :)
@Noswad180
well, using worldguard is possible, but kinda tricky
@dtschaedler
Just use World Edit and World Guard for this.
@Jakeio
So why not just give it a try? This version is working ever since it has been released. That's how awesome it is :p
If this is too outdated you might try something like WorldBorder but it would be nice if this one would be updated, the oldest are usually the best...
This plugin works beautifully, but I was curious... Is it possible to set it for a shape other than a square or a circle? Nothing too complicated, mind you. Just a rectangle. My map isn't a perfect square. =/
This plugin works fine for me. Using 1.4.6 R0.1 Beta Build
