BetterSpawners

Better Spawners:

Description:

Wither BetterSpawners, you can mine, set, place, and modify spawners to your every need!

You may just look at this plugin like any other spawner plugin, so what's different about BetterSpawners? It is a simple, easy to use plugin, that allows you to modify spawners much more easily than other plugins. Plus with the use of permissions, you can set limits on what your players can and can't do with spawners!

This plugin was also created because I couldn't find a good spawner plugin for my server. SO I created my own one and so, BetterSpawners was born!

Features:

  • Spawners drop with any normal pickaxe, no silk touch required!
  • They can be set with /spawner
  • When you mine a spawner, it will drop the a spawner that spawns that type of mob.
  • The mob type is displayed on the spawners as a lore.
  • Passive mobs have a blue colored lore.
  • Hostile mobs have a red colored lore.
  • Other entities have a yellow lore.

Commands:

  • /spawner <mob> - Changes a spawner to that mob name. The spawner can either be held or at your crosshair.
  • /spawner list - Displays a list of mobs that can be spawned.
  • /spawner help - Provides information about the /spawner command.

Permissions:

  • betterspawners.set.<mob> - Allows the setting of that type of spawner.
  • betterspawners.break.<mob> - Allows the breaking of mob spawners. Setting this permission to false will mean you cannot break this spawner at all.
  • betterspawners.mine.<mob> - Allows the player to mine the spawner and get it to drop.
  • betterspawners.get.<mob> - Allows the player to drop this kind of spawner. If false, will drop the default type of spawner (always pig).

Example: If a player has the permission "betterspawners.mine.cavespider" but not the permission "betterspawners.get.cavespider", then the spawner will drop but as the default type (pig).

Available Mobs:

Click here for a list of available mobs that can be used in spawners. The permission for each mob goes as "betterspawners.<set/get/break/mine>.<mob name>", all in lower case.

Notes:

Please note that this plugin is still a WIP. There are a still a few bugs left for me to iron out but the plugin is still fully functional.

1.8 Update Note:

Some spawners seem to have trouble setting with the /spawner command while placed. A workaround is to just mine the spawner, set the type in your hand and then replace it.
