xPermission

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

xPermission (xPerm)

xPermission is a simple light weight and easy to use permissionsystem.

With simple commands and an easy to use permissionfile you can give permissions to player or groups.

If you want the user can rank up automaticly, as soon as he reachs a specific onlinetime on your server.

xPermission Wiki

More functions and features are available if you also use the xBasic plugin.

It provides alot of events and interfaceses for interaction between the xPlugins.

Also xBasic gives you the ability to manage you minecraftserver through the web.

xBasic

xPermission is using mcstats and bstats both are metric addons which collect data from your server.

If you want to know more about the data which they collect, please go to there website.

Or if you dont wan't metrics enabled on your server you can turn it off in the config settings.

xPermission is using the sourceforge versioncheck, this function can be turned off in config.yml.

You REALLY need to add more information to the wiki, a very basic tutorial, how to add the timed rank system etc. I have a problem when people re-log their group resets to the default rank, and using the rank up/down gives a null error as if there's no rank number set, but there is on multiple ranks. You can manually reload the permissions in-game and the rank works, until they relog, overwriting their rank to the default.

I was able to find the config.yml, messages.yml, and permission.yml, thankfully.

However the prefixes do not work in-game. Am I possibly running a plugin that isn't compatible with this one? Here's the list of all the plugins I'm currently running (it's a long list):

It wasn't a compatibily issue.

I just missed to implement the native use of the prefix and suffix an xPermission, only the vault connection was implemented.

You can download the new version of xPermission with the implemented prefix and suffix feature.
Maybe you are interessted in my new xChat plugin.

The plugin also doesn't allow a group to contain multiple people. I have a rank called 'tester' and I have more than one tester. I also tried putting myself in my 'admin' rank, and restarted the server. After I went back into the config file it still listed me as a User.

This is the most recent permissions plugin that is compatible with my server (on 1.11.2) can you please optimize it for use? I'd be eternally grateful!

Please answer! Where is the config file???? I can't find anywhere. I copy the adress I have into a folder and the only thing I find in plugins is xPermissions.jar, but where is the folder???? where is the config file???

The config.yml is placed in you plugin\xpermission folder.

The config file and the xpermission folder will be created after the first startup of the xPermission plugin.

If you dont want to auto create the folder and the file you can do it your self and copy the config.yml from the xPermission.jar
