WPAuth
WPAuth is the ideal solution if you run a WordPress Website and want to allow users to register on it to get build permissions. This plugin will check your websites users.
This plugin has two main functions; checking and promoting.
How does it work?
It works by taking your connection details that you provide in the config and the user of the player who has just logged in. It then runs a check on user table that you've provided (defaults to wp_users) to see if the user_id (or alternative) matches the players username.
If it matches then it runs a command that you provide in the config.If they can't be found in the list then it will send them a message that you provide, example: To get build permissions please register at www.example.com
I'm getting an error, help!
Please open a ticket and include as much information about the error or issue you're having and your server.log file.
I have an idea...
Please open a ticket and include as much detail as possible.
Actually, would there be any way to have WPAuth execute certain commands after promotion? Maybe include that in premium?
Is there any chance that multiple group ignoring can be implemented. Currently, my setup no longer allows for me to have two groups (i.e. citizen + admin) for one member without completely ruining things.
Excellent plugin idea. I would love to use this for my server but I currently use GroupManager... Is this implemented yet? I attempted to access the website but I could not connect to it. I think this is a fantastic plugin!
In my opinion, simply sending commands from server side would be the easiest way to set this up for GroupManager, as it is known for its in-game configurability.
@LulzSek
What I had to do was add the ignore group alongside the higher ranking group. I'm using bPermissions by the way.
@bukOhTwo
Tried having those groups inherit the ignore group.
Whenever i use ignore group, it demotes everyone back to citizen. Even the mods and admins.
try using the vault api so you use any outer perms
@LulzSek
Haha alright. Sounds good.
@bukOhTwo
Panel will replace the config file essentially. Allowing you to edit all the config from the panel. It'll provide logs (possibly) of the actions done by the plugin.
Cost will probably be a one of payment of <£10 I think, but not saying for sure :)
@LulzSek
Wow. I was definitely not expecting to see a panel for premium. What will the panel do? Any details on the cost?
@bukOhTwo
The panel is 90% done, there are a few small issues with it and I need to write an API for the plugin to comminute with the panel.
@LulzSek
Thanks for the update!
EDIT: looking forward to your premium version too! :)
This is updated for 1.3.1 :)
@todd2982
Sorry I haven't got back to them yet, will do in a few minutes.
@bukOhTwo
I fixed the typo, and on the website - http://mc-wpauth.com/ it goes into further detail about setting up/configuring the plugin.
I placed two tickets in on and have not gotten a response. I assume that the site bitbucket site you have linked is were they should go.
I have two issues: 1) Can you ignore multiple PEX groups? 2) If a user is in multiple groups you use the set feature of the API instead of the "add" to change membership. This overwrites groups previously set in PEX. This makes it difficult to migrate current users to the WPAuth system.
I look forward to your response.
Also found a typo when sending console "Checking datbase for PLAYER." "datbase" should be "database." Just a heads up. :)
EDIT: You may also want to warn users who have their forum on an alternate server to make sure mySQL allows remote connections. I ran into this problem before and I think people should be made aware of this. Just trying to help you get this plugin out to more people. :p I can also confirm this works with Vanilla forums.
I seem to get "can't keep up" messages every time someone joins (it only happens once after each person joins). Also would it be possible to delay the message that gets sent to the player's chat box? I ask because WorldEdit sends invisible messages to activate colors, and it ends up making big spaces between messages when a person joins (which causes the player to miss it unless s/he presses "T"). If it is delayed, it would appear after WorldEdit and be visible to the player.
@bukOhTwo
Hi, what you can do is change the table_field variable to check for Display Names rather than the usernames.
So I ended up figuring it out. However, found a major problem (with Wordpress, not your plugin). Usernames can't have capital letters, must have more than 4 characters in username, and no underscores...
Hi there! This is probably too much to ask, but I need a lot of help setting this up. I've been doing a lot of trial error, and I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong... :(
@aadje93
Hey, it doesn't yet support GroupManager / Essentials, however that is my next feature for it.
In regards to a guide I have written some instruction on the website - http://mc-wpauth.com/setup/
If you run into any issues with that guide let me know.
@freakyy85
No worries dude :)
