WillowWild

WillowWild can teleport any player far away from settlements and buildings and into the wilderness where they can find an unoccupied space to build. WW is different from other "wild" or "random" teleport plugins because of the algorithm it uses. Most other 'random' TP plugins aren't really random, they require you to set locations and just choose between them. WillowWild actually generates random numbers for the x and z coordinates, and puts a player 200 blocks high in the air to prevent them from suffocating in a tree, mountain, etc. They're given resistance 50 for 7 seconds so they don't get any damage from the fall. In all, it's less than 50 lines of code, has no configuration file, no permissions, and only 1 command, /wild...

Known Bugs and Issues

Issue: Occasionally, a player will teleport over a valley and 6-7 seconds of resistance isn't enough, and the fall will kill them. We suggest installing a plugin like Essentials that has /back capability in case someone spawns over a valley. This is a rare thing, though. Bug: A player that is flying when they do /wild will stay floating at 200 Y. Issue: A plugin like WorldBorder restricts world size/chunk generation. The user will be flung back into the border.

Commands & Permissions

-/wild: Teleports a user far away to a random location.

FAQ

Q: Doesn't this load tons of chunks and lag the server? A: Nope, it only loads the chunk the player lands in and the chunks around him/her.

Q: So, about how far can a player teleport? A: It's random, so it's hard to tell. Here's the algorithm for determining the x and z coordinates: [link]
