WelcomeRulezz
WelcomeRulezz - Simple Welcome/Login Message + a /rules command
Version: v0.6 WelcomeRulezz is a very simple plugin to add a Welcome Message and a /rules command. + /commands command since v0.4 If there is something I've missed in this release topic, please let me know. v0.4 isn't working perfect,... Please dowload v0.6 or later The link in description is always the latest version.
Features:
- in Game Message when someone joins the server
- /rules command to display server rules
- /WelcomeMe to display the LoginMessage again
- /Commands to display the server commands
- permissions support
- WelcomeMessage.yml + Rules.yml file for easy configuration
- Auto creates directory
- Configurable Color
- Variables
Upcoming Features:
- in-Game command to change the message/rules
config:
- Couldn't be easier, just type the message you want in the .yml files. Everything you type in there, will be sent to your players.
- If don't want the /rules command or if you don't want the login message, just leave the .yml file blank.
Permission nodes:
- welcomerulezz.welcomeme (/WelcomeMe command)
- welcomerulezz.rules (/rules command)
- Welcomerulezz.commands (/commands command)
Color Codes:
- "&f" = WHITE
- "&e" = YELLOW
- "&d" = LIGHT_PURPLE
- "&c" = RED
- "&b" = AQUA
- "&a" = GREEN
- "&9" = BLUE
- "&8" = DARK_GRAY
- "&7" = GRAY
- "&6" = GOLD
- "&5" = DARK_PURPLE
- "&4" = DARK_RED
- "&3" = DARK_AQUA
- "&2" = DARK_GREEN
- "&1" = DARK_BLUE
- "&0" = BLACK
If you want colors, just type the Color code before the part of the text you want in that color.
For example if you want to have a welcomemessage: "Welcome to MyServer! Please read the /rules"
And you want "Welcome to" in green , "MyServer!" in gold, "Please read the" in green and "/rules" in dark blue, you have to type:
&a Welcome to &6 MyServer! &a Please read the &1 /rules
Variables:
- {player} = Name of the player;
- {online_players} = Number of the players online for the moment;
- {server_name} = Name of your server;
- {max_players} = The maximum amount of players allowed to the server;
- {player_health} = The players health;
- {date} = The current date;
- {time} = The current time.
If you want to add variables to your Login Message, just type the variable you want.
For example: When a player Britney logs in to the server, and you want to say her: "Welcome Britney! Please read the /rules "
You have to type in the .yml file: "Welcome {player}! Please read the /rules "

@Rogasmo @Sevennemesis @wvenderbush
Updated to v0.6 ! Look in the description for the variables I added. The link in description is the latest link.
@Rogasmo
The only way I know is to setup more commands and more config files...
/commands 1
/commands 2
...
Maybe I will add it in v0.7
v0.6 is releasing monday
Nice plugin. Setup the command file and it has to many commands to show them all on the chat screen. Is there a way to pause or scroll up the chat screen or enable pages like /help does?
I love it! thank you! everything works fine!!!
it would be a great idea the (Player Name) and (Number of Online Players) for his welcome message would be very useful!.
the Players from my server said thank you! for the (/ commands) :)
a +
@Wannezz
Ok thats fine! I just added an alias for /commands and set it for /help!
Cool! (Nice little thing!) Love everything so far, next, Variables!
@Wannezz
A Player Name variable
Ex. Hello PLAYER where PLAYER is the Players name
A Number of Players Online variable
Ex. There are NUMBER Players online where NUMBER is the number of players online
Start with that... I'll let you know if I think of anything else!
Really great plugin, keep up the good work and add some more features!
@wvenderbush
What variables should I add ?
@wvenderbush Yes, but it was a request by Sevennemesis to add /commands ... and /help is already used by bukkit itself isn't it? I don't know if it's going to work... for v0.6 I'm going to do it as quick as possible, but I don't have much time these days, so it's something for next week... Maybe earlier...
@Wannezz
Oh, so its like a help thing? Instead of /commands, maybe change that command to /help?
(and the variables in 0.6 sounds great! When do you expect that release?)
@wvenderbush
I will add variables in 0.6 :)
Commands.yml is for the /commands feature. People on your server can see the basic commands they can use. If you don't want this feature, you can just leave it empty...
New Version (5.2) works great! No problems...
In the next version your main priority should be Variables. That would be great!
Thanks!
@Wannezz
Thanks, testing now!
EDIT: What is commands.yml? What does it do?
@Sevennemesis
Ok, the link in description is now working again.
@Wannezz
Nop! same bug...
version 0.4 works, but there is no file "command.yml". I try to make myself a file "command.yml" but his writing "Can not read"
Bukkit. BetaBuild 1.2.3-R0.2 #2060
@Sevennemesis
Try the link in description, that one is always the latest.
@wvenderbush
Link in description is always the latest link...
@Wannezz

@wvenderbush
Colors are now supported in v0.5
