What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
I think that there should be a buying request section added. For example, a player could post that they wish to buy "x" product for "y" price, and deposit the money required to pay into the system. Then, a seller could scan the buying page and sell items by putting the number they wish to sell into a box, like you do when buying an item. Then, they would sell the the buyer and receive money.

Also, if the above was implemented, WebAuction could auto match buy and sell requests that exist. So, if player "a" is buying a seed at 4$, and player "b" is selling a seed at 2$, it would auto-complete the transaction and split the difference - player "be" is paid 3$, and player "a" gets 1$ back.

Please provide any additional information below.
This would be very similar to the "Grand Exchange" in Runescape. WebAuction as it is is almost exactly like the Grand Exchange, but without the option to post a buy offer.
