WeatherScopes - Regional Weather
Description:
Inspired by this Plugin I created a similar one that allows to create dynamic and regional weather.

It replaces the old weather system and allows you to create storms for every single world. You can set up

for every Storm - or just add random storms with variable parameters.

Commands
- storms reload - reloads all files and configs
- storms save - saves all storms to the disk

Configuration
For Random Storms
- MaxDistanceFromSpawn: Maximum distance from the spawn where random storms are created
- MinSpeedX: Minimum speed of the storm (X-direction) (blocks / sec)
- MaxSpeedX: Maximum speed of the storm (X-direction) (blocks / sec)
- MinSpeedZ: Minimumspeed of the storm (Z-direction) (blocks / sec)
- MaxSpeedZ: Maximum speed of the storm (Z-direction) (blocks / sec)
- MinDuration: Minimum duration of the storm (in sec) (blocks / sec)
- MaxDuration: Maximum duration of the storm
- MaxIntensity: Maximum intensity of the storm (in lightnings / sec)
- PercentageForOnlyRain: Percentage of storms without lightnings (as float)
- MinSize: Minimum size of the storm
- MaxSize: Maximum size of the storm

Would love to try this but it seems to be compiled for Java 7. I'm running Java 6 on my server and I don't think its necessary to upgrade just for this plugin. Can you please recompile so it works on all servers?
nice plugin, but I found a bug: The config.yml keeps setting itself back to default after I edit it.
In the next update you should add the ability to make a storm's size both in X and Y (for example S 100 500 would be 100 blocks wide by 500 blocks long) to be able to make more squall line/front type storms.
I agree on the sound issue the storm could be 5000 blocks away and I hear it. It should be localized sound if we can at all make this happen it would be great like chat if you are not within so many blocks of the normal chat you don't get it. That would make this the perfect weather app. I have no other issues with this plugin works as you have designed it.

Now to figure out how to set it up so I don't know what weather will happen...
-[EDIT] As it turns out, this seems to have hijacked the scheduler and locked up my server to the point I had to end task on it. No commands would process. My guess is that plugins that alter the time rate of the server to extend day or night are the culprit. Also, random storms seem to always cause nothing but thunder. No lightning, no clouds, no darkening, no rain. Just constant, uninterrupted thunder.
Great idea, but maybe a bit more work is required?
