Warptastic
Description:
We had a recurring issue with using various warp plugins, which left many of our players trapped in the ground below the warp location.
So I developed warptastic to resolve the issue, have since expanded upon it, and decided to share. Warptastic has an editable warp effect duration, which will hold the player just above the warp location for the configured number of seconds before dropping them safely.
This allows the chunk around the player to load before safely completing the warp process. Warptastic allows server owners to create public server-warps, each user to create a configurable number of public and private warps, warps accessible via warp signs, and permits admin to create warps on behalf of others, which exceed that users limits. Warptastic also keeps track of how often users use different warps, and can use this information to list the warps by popularity.
Of course, there are other features; and you can configure it's precise behaviour using the config options and relevant permissions. If you're using CommandBook,Essentials, MyWarp or xWarp and wish to import your warps you can do so by copying either your warps.csv(Commandbook), your warps folder(Essentials), or your warps.db(MyWarp/xWarp) into warptastic's plugin directory, and running the relevant /fixwarps import command.
/fixwarps -cmdbook
or
/fixwarps -essentials
or
/fixwarps -mywarp
or
/fixwarps -xWarp
Importing warp records:
To import warp records from either CommandBook, Essentials, MyWarp or xWarp copy your warps.csv(Commandbook), your warps folder(Essentials), or your warps.db(MyWarp/xWarp) into warptastic's plugin directory and run the relevant /fixwarps import command.
(warps.db for MyWarp/xWarp will require renaming before proceeding, see /fixwarps menu for details.)
/fixwarps -cmdbook
or
/fixwarps -essentials
or
/fixwarps -mywarp
or
/fixwarps -xwarp
Editable Group Warp Limits:
You can now specify a different number of maxwarps for different groups.
Simply create the permission nodes in the config.yml and apply the corresponding permission (warptastic.limit.#) to the desired group.
If groups are inheriting permissions from other groups, be sure to disable the inherited warptastic.limit.# permission before applying a new limit permission.
For more information see Here

(You can include a description of the warp if you like, just as long as it occurs on any line after the warp name) You can use any warp on a sign, however if you'd like the warp to be only accessible by using the sign you can make the warp a sign-only warp with /setwarp -sign <warpname>

Updating from a version earlier than 0.3?
In version 0.3 data storage was changed from YAML to SQLite.
if you're updating from Warptastic 0.2 or earlier, remember to type '/fixwarps -update' to upgrade your user records from the old YAML to the new SQLite data storage.
You only need to run this once.
Importing warp records:

Can my players have permission only to private warps?
This plugin is really useful and I like it so far but could you make add a feature to invite people to your private warps , that's what people want the most so if you do that then it would be great.
Can you make it configure how the player warps in? it seems like you put an effect on when they warp. I some times warp a lot and that would tend to get really annoying. Please make it customizable.
I like this plugin, although I have one question. Is there anyway to set a 'delay'? Similar to Essentials where you can change how long a player has to stand still and not take damage before they teleport away?
I get this error but the plugin is updated to 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:492) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:432) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.init(MinecraftServer.java:197) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.a(MinecraftServer.java:368) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.t(MinecraftServer.java:381) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.enablePlugins(CraftServer.java:238) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.loadPlugin(CraftServer.java:256) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at org.bukkit.plugin.SimplePluginManager.enablePlugin(SimplePluginManager.java:381) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader.enablePlugin(JavaPluginLoader.java:337) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPlugin.setEnabled(JavaPlugin.java:215) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO at me.odium.warptastic.warptastic.onEnable(warptastic.java:40) 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] INFO java.lang.NullPointerException 14.07 23:21:45 [Server] SEVERE Error occurred while enabling warptastic v0.3.4 (Is it up to date?) 14.07 23:21:44 [Server] INFO [warptastic] 0.3.4 enabled.
So one last thing I found out you need both private and public warp permissions to make private warps, just let me know if this could be changed or if I will have to change my plans for warps.
Ok my apologies apparently I was op even though my name wasn't colored and I don't remember opping myself (fail). However I am having issues with giving the lower ranks private warps. I gave them the warptastic.setwarp.private permission and they cannot make private warps, I want to give lower ranks access to make private warps with higher ranks having public warps. Also I believe the help for the latest version may still say 0.3.4
I'm having issues with using this plugin with PermissionsBukkit, my default ranks have access to all the commands, is there no support for this permissions plugin? Will it be added in the future? What do you suggest?
@Obliviator07
If your users are complaining they hate the plugin, perhaps you shouldn't be using it.
Seeing as you support MyWarp (import wise), You should support multi word warps.
Users are complaining that they hate the plugin, as most of their warps are multi worded and are now inaccessible.
Example: /warp the pit Returns: "the" is not online.
@ItIsThee
Soudnds good, i'll add it to the ToDo
This project looks really interesting. I'm using MyWarp for the time being, but since there is no more active development at the moment I'm looking for an alternative. Any chance to see an (optional) global limit for warp creation so I can allow users to create X warps in total, no matter how many of those are public/privat?
Keep up the good work.
warptastic.admin: true or warptastic.admin.* not working with permissionsbukkit all other permissions seem to work fine.
Im assuming warptastic.admin allows you to use all the commands otherwise at the moment i don't see any commands that would fall under admin not already covered by another permission
@04hockey
Warptastic requires you give your users permissions to use commands.
If you don't want to use permissions, there's not a lot I can do for you. Sorry.
@ohjays
Unfortunately no, That is how one toggles a warp from private to public.
@ferrybig
You're going to have to give me some more information, and maybe an error log, for that to be a relevant bugreport.
sql injectiuon danger when using the /warp <warp>
Is there a way to stop a warp toggling between private and public if /setwarp -p back is set a second time, etc ( using warps with the macrokeymod setting a return on warping)
I'm having a problem on my server, it's saying that all my white-listed and non-white-listed players don't have permission to warp, but admins do. I don't use permissions I only use Essentials and I have all the warp commands in there usable by players.
<<reply 788172>
It's likely you're using linux?
There's currently a minor bug with a hardcoded file seperator.
I'm uploading the update now(0.3.4), should fix your issue with importing. :)
When I go to import warps I get this... http://grab.by/euPc
This is my directory... http://grab.by/euPg
Just a small request, could you maybe change the permission
'warptastic.setwarp' to 'warptastic.setwarp.public' ?
Its just a bit confusing ^^ (sorry XD , it just looks wrong to me :P )
