Vote Send

Vote Send - share your votes across multiple servers

Vote send will allow you to make the most from your votes... by sharing them between servers!

This works by listening to the voting events passed from Votifier, breaking them down and resending them to a configurable list of servers.

Installing / Configuring

To install, place the VoteSend.jar file into your plugins folder. The first time it runs it will create a config.yml file which you can edit with details of the target servers.

Once configured simply type /vsreload and you're ready to go. You can also use /sendvote [playername] to send a fake vote to test that it arrives correctly on the target servers.

Commands

/vsreload: Reload the VoteSend config

/sendvote [playername] [servicename]: Send a test vote with optional service name (e.g. "/sendvote swifteh_ MC-Index")

Configuration

Each server entry in the config is made up from the following details:

IP: Target hostname or IP address.

Port: Votifier port

Key: Votifier public key which can be found in the "plugins/Votifier/rsa/public.key" file for each taget server.

Custom: Optional custom service name to send for each vote. This may be useful if you would like to distinguish between "shared" votes and those from an actual server listing site. Set this to '' to forward the original service name.

Important

This plugin requires Votifier 1.8 or higher.

DO NOT PUT DETAILS OF YOUR MAIN / HUB SERVER IN THE CONFIG OR YOU WILL HAVE AN INFINITE VOTING LOOP.

I used your plugin and it is not sending votes; When I vote in a website is sends the vote in the hub but not in the other servers :(

When i send /votesend <player> it sends the vote to only one of the servers (doesnt send the vote to more than one server). Also if player isnt on the server at the time they loose the vote. Is the vote meant to stay in memory until player joins that server then issue the rewards associated with it? Then be-able to join the other server and receive the same vote on it? because it doesn't seem to send to more than 1 server and you have to be on that server to receive it.

I don't have IP's (localHost) for all my servers but I set votifier to different Ports on all the servers and configured Vote Send accordingly. I have noticed a lot of dupe votes...Is this a result of Vote Send or the Voting Websites? IE Server 1 where Vote Send resides is Port 8192 and is not listed in vote send, Server 2 the votifier port is 8193 and the IP is LocalHost, Server 3 votifier is 8194, IP LocalHost. Any Ideas on the dupe votes?

Hi, I have a network and i am trying to set up voting but i have some issues. On my (HUB) server i have the plugins "Votifier" and "VoteSend", I follow a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT_7JjjTEVs) and i am having issues voting. On my other servers, (OpPrison) and (OpPvP) i have the plugins "Votifier" and "GAListener" and everything is set up right. I added my server to planetminecraft and i voted and it did nothing. I checked console and nothing showed up. So then after 30 minutes i went to console and typed "/sendvote CodeAdapt Test" and i got my rewards on both servers. I feel like its something to do with it not going through. I do a test vote on PMC and other websites and it works fine

Of course there not going to get it on prison or factions if you want to do that you will need a server for each not a seperate world on a server it dont work like that. VoteRoulette might work like that though. look into it.

@killer brine What if someone plays on a faction server for a few months then they decide to play on your second faction server, they would get months worth of voting rewards

There would be no point of this plugin then. OR you can edit the configuration file to set it like that. Read the configuration in the description to see if that helps you.

is there a way to make it so the vote only applies to one server? Maybe only the first server they login

example*

lets say player 1 votes for server A
server A has Skyblocks, prison and factions
Player 1 logins skyblocks and receives his vote reward
Player 1 Logins prison or faction and does not receive the voring rewards

Works when I use the vote send command, yet I cannot receive votes from the actual sites for some reason...
