VariableTriggers
Make your own plugin like features and more using VariableTriggers
This is a very powerful plugin that has unlimited potential. Create triggers that run lines of script when a player Clicks or Walks on a block (dirt, door, switch, trigger, torch, any block) or Create Event Triggers such as PlayerDeath , EntityDeath, BlockBreak, BlockPlaced, Join, Quit, Respawn, Interact and EntitySpawn that also run scripts. You can define Area Triggers and Command Triggers as well. You can use Dynamic Object variables and conditional IF and ELSE statements in the scripts. You can run any command that a player or OP can run and many speacial built-in commands to Teleport, Spawn Entities, Play Effects Visual or Sound, Set Blocks, Toggle Blocks, Check Players Heath and much more!. The scripts are executed on their own threads to take the strain off of the main server thread.
@lexlaiden
Is there anyone ready for the next release with the AREA Enter & Exit triggers???

me again... want to ask another feature, please would you add the posibility to execute a script trough a command instead of only triggers? this way would be like us making our own plugins inside VariableTriggers!, it would be awesome!
May be adding a chat event trigger... something like /vtevent chat [command] @SCRIPT like this example:
this should make it so that when a player types the command "/hi" (or could be "/vt hi" to avoid conflicts) the script "@BROADCAST Hi everyone!" is triggered
You can probably add arguments this way too using:
Adding permissions for use a specific command should be simple to us by using conditional @IF with <haspermission:argument> for example:
thank you! hope you can add this somehow, and people should start donating right away :D I surely will.
thanks for this one, it is really cool! I'm learning a lot of coding just from using it and from your help documents :)
I'd like to ask if you could add something like a "sign viewer" this could be great to display info and variables using placeholders I think. The trigger command could be /vtsign :D
for example I'd like to show on a sign how many players are inside a region... To acomplish this I guess that could add a dynamic variable with @ADDINT everytime a player pass into the region and then I should have some way to show that variable into the sign... may be adding integer and string placeholders, for example like this:
<showstr.arg> - Replacing arg with a string
<showint.arg> - Replacing arg with a integer
<showint.Arena.AreInside> - this should transform into sign text wich shows the value in realtime of an integer called Arena.AreInside
Ok may be I'm asking something not logic I don't really know, just telling. thanks for this plugin!
Wow this plugin looks amazing! Will totally be using it in our community to make some awesome stuff :) Great job guys
Its very light, even with all of our other plugins we only average bout 5-15% cpu usage at the very most on a 4ghz dual, and we have bout 20+ other plugins
@EfReeZe
Beleive it or not Its light as far as the main server thread goes.
This plugin is probably very heavy for server?
I just uploaded v1.1.1
Lots of nice new features. If you subscribe then you already have access to it. If you don't subscribe you'll have to wait on bukkit team to approve it before you can get it.
@MineSniper
not yet.....
@bearbear12345
Not sure about the syntax of your script havent looked at that my first thought is that you my be using NoLag plugin as it is not compatible with variabletriggers
Anyway i can remove an item from the player's inventory??
couple thoughts
<biome>
ENTITYSPAWN event, as in anything but player
adding optional bit values for block IDs would be very useful for any @SETBLOCK or @TOGGLEBLOCK functions, such as @SETBLOCK 53:0:0x1 x,y,z
this would set the block to a wooden stair with property oak(defined properties being added in 1.3) rightside up and ascending west
bit values can be discovered via the wiki here http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values
edit: Another thing that came up while writing exp based on race vs race killing
Can you add who the @PLAYER goes to? or add an option for like @PLAYER.<killername> vs @PLAYER.<playername> kinda thing?
or is there a way to do it that i am missing?
because you copy pasted instead of using pastebin or putting it in code, i can not tell if your yaml is spaced correctly, but also at the end of the last @ENDIF you have an h instead of a closing ' The error from your console is coming from your homespawnsplus plugin not VT
after each xyz coord on any location should be a , and no space so it should read
'......... x,y,z' not '...... x, y, z'
Also if there is an error in your script parsing, it shows exactly what and where it is in your log, it makes it easy to find
Can someone please help me?
Filename: Kingdoms.script.yml

Thanks!
@King_Waldo Trouvo is correct to post script questions there but I'll address it this time.
You can only create the existing trigger types - Click, Walk, PlayerDeath, EntityDeath, Respawn, Join, BlockPlaced and BlockBreak.
Now if what you are asking is how to run the script on one of these triggers only if a player is holding a certian item then you do it like this. Lets say tou have a Click trigger set up, you would need something like this at the beginning,
If you dont know the ID's of items this is a page I use for them http://minecraft-ids.grahamedgecombe.com/
@Waldo
Post your script requests here

Hi! I absolutely love this plugin and it's without a doubt one of the most useful ones on this entire website. Though I've been wondering: how you could trigger an event whenever someone is holding a certain item. I can imagine that you've got to do something with the @IF command, but I'm not sure how to do so. I've read over the documentation countless times and checked out the examples but I'm simply not able to trigger an event. If it's not too difficult, may you post an example, please?
@sheepwool7
Uploaded v1.1.0 For those who subscribe to VT you should have it now for those who do not subscribe you'll have to wait for the Bukkit staff to approve it.
Thanks for the update!
