What is Vampire?
With this plugin anyone can become a vampire, but do you want to? During daytime vampires cower from sunlight. During the night the humans reach for their holy water and wooden stakes as the vampires roam the lands with inhuman strength, speed and levitation-powers. Driven by their endless bloodlust, they devour all living in their way. Vampires...
- are destroyed by sunlight.
- are extremely vulnerable to wood and holy water.
- spreads the dark disease through combat and their own blood.
- kill and drink blood instead of eating food.
- regenerate health quickly at the expense of food-level.
- won’t be attacked by monsters unless the vampire attacks first.
- take no fall- or suffocation-damage.
- have stationary food level unless in bloodlust mode.
- move faster, jump higher and damage more with bloodlust.

The plugin is great, but it lacks a few important things: First of all, the possibility completely disable the altar. On my server, I do not want players to be constantly changed, first human being, then vampires, then again, people, etc. In this way, the vampire loses its uniqueness. I had to turn off the altars strongly interfere in the configuration files (replacing the main blocks air). It's not very elegant. Ok, you can use permission, but it's inelegant, because the block altar still generates information as soon as we clicked. Another thing that would be very handy is a hierarchy of vampires. A vampire who transformed me, it should be better than me. It is my master. On the other hand I can be a master vampire, which I will turn. In this way, you can create all the vampire clans. Clans could be called, but it's not something necessary. And one last thing - a vampire should become gradually stronger (very slowly). Should increase its strength and other parameters - the time until it is killed. Then the longevity bonus should be reset. I hope that my ideas will be taken into account.
Hey, when is this going too be updated because I really want it!
This is a great plugin. The peeps on the server i have cant wait for it to be upgraded so we can start using it again.
I'm guessing from the comments below me that this hasn't yet updated. I have tryed it on my server and was also using mccore5. It still didn't work. But I was on a server earlier today that had this plugin installed,working, and running. How is this so? Is there a way I can run this on my server even if it isn't updated? If so how would I do this? Let me know.
I see on the GitHub they made changes to the mcore 4 days ago. So It appears they are making progress :)
I really want this plugins i was wondering if you could fix it for 1.4.7? I have had it on all my servers :)
How can I donate to this plugin developers?
Hey guys just wondering when and if we can expect an update for this build?
Doesn't work.
Indeed broken with 1.4.7.
nms code crap that bukkit did :(
mcore broken with 1.4.7 bukkit?
I put the plugin in my plugins folder and it didn't load at all? Does this plugin still work?
I was wondering, is there a way to add something so vampires don't burn? like maybe a full set of chainmail or somehting
It looks great but sorry I cant play it when I have not yet bought Minecraft. I wish I have bought Minecraft and I can play Multiplayer.

Did you install mcore too?
doesn't work for me doesnt make a plugin folder please help
@Cayorion
Thanks so much Cay. I was looking for it but was failing at finding it :D
edit: so what you're saying is that in the conf.jsn I need to add the selected permissions under there? It's just a little confusing because if players are in a default permission group they inherit certain permissions. Then when they turn into a vampire, those permission groups are the nullified and other permissions take into effect?
Or is there a way in the config to assign them to a specific predefined permission group in PermissionEx?
@imaapseudonym
You can add permission nodes yes. This is the part of the config: https://github.com/MassiveCraft/Vampire/blob/master/src/com/massivecraft/vampire/Conf.java#L68
