Uncrafting Table

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Uncraft those accidental pressure plates! Finally a use for the paintings you stole in a raid! No client mods required!

This plugin is a work in progress, there are still many recipes that have not yet been added (mostly items with metadata).

Description:

This plugin creates a simple make-shift gui when a "uncrafting table" is right clicked.

Through this interface, the user can insert items and "uncraft" them.

How to use:

Create a uncrafting table by placing a diamond block underneath a normal crafting table. You will know that it has worked when you see fire particles forming around the table.
Right click on the crafting table to open the uncrafting inventory.
You can place items in the slot farthest to the left to "uncraft" them.

WARNING

The table will craft items automatically, so only put as many items as you want to craft in the table! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Other Notes:

ATM the far right slot is unused, planning on using that to capture enchantments in a future update.
The table will not craft an item if there are items in the output slots (unless they are a part of the recipe).

Commands:

/uncft
Gets the plugin info

Permissions:

Unimplemented as of now, may use in a future update.

To-Dos:

Add permissions
Add a config file to blacklist recipes
Find a way to work with item durability.

Known Bugs:

[FIXED] ~~The table will not recognize the items in the output slots as part of the recipe unless the recipe takes up all slots.~~

Hi guys,

Just some quick notes:

I am currently helping with this plugin by adding various recipes and helping live2pwn2010 while he is away at school. My job: adding the recipes that haven't been added and looking into developing the plugin further.

We are currently working on the tools and armour compatibility with the durability feature and so that should be added within the next couple of updates.

At the moment, recipes, bug notes and other suggestions will be very grateful, so if you want to see anything, you know where to comment!

There is a page linked in the description listing the recipes not yet added to the plugin. Because of computer problems and school having recently started, I have not been able to update this plugin as much as I'd like to. Sorry about that :(

also, i noticed that you cant uncraft weapons as well even if they are at full HP not shure if thats a bug or not? In your config can u add the ablity to bypass perms?

Also heres a list of item i found to be not uncraftable Hopper, Drooper, DayLight Sencer, trapped chest, wooden button, tripwire hook, firecharge, redstone comparator, ironbars, cookie, pumkin pie, both golden apple types, Stone bricks, Any Slab (64), Any Wall(64), Beacon, any tool, weapon, armor,

@NyssaZ I plan on making the table return the number of items based on the durability remaining of the tool. E.g A diamond pickaxe with a single use taken out will yield 2 diamonds instead of 3, a pickaxe with a single use remaining will return only sticks, no diamonds.

um, question, couldn't people use up diamond tools/armor/etc. to a few uses, uncraft it, then craft it back for full durability?

Maybe have it so you can't uncraft anything that has been used.. Because this plugin will mainly be used for that kind of stuff

I agree with MrCreepersbang... You need to add a lot more recipes. This is so amazing and useful. Of course don't add things with durability though.

When you are making these halfsteps and you put 2 itens on the wrong place, and use TooManyItems then remove it, I hate when i do this.
